I like hiking a lot. In my opinion, it’s a great source of pleasure and health benefit. Hiking is very similar to a walking tour or camping. It is a long walk in the countryside with occasional stops. Most people go hiking for pleasure or physical fitness. It is important from time to time to leave crowded cities and go out for a walking tour. The open air has a bracing effect on our minds. The sight of huge trees and green bushes, blooming wild flowers and running streams, the birds’ singing – it all carries us away from the depressing daily routine. I especially like hiking in mountainous areas. It is more thrilling that walking in the plains. Last time we went hiking was in summer. Together with our teacher and a group of school children we went to find some picturesque places on the bank of the River Don. We took all the necessary items, including sleeping bags, some food, first aid kit and mosquito spray. We wore sporty outfit and comfy boots. Our rucksacks were rather heavy, but it didn’t spoil our journey. Most importantly we chose the route of our journey and fully planned the trip. We set out early in morning. Luckily, the weather was perfect. Although, there were some clouds in the sky, the wind soon took them away. Our first meal in the open air felt fantastic. We baked some potatoes and frankfurters. It was rather hot, so we could sunbathe and swim in the river. We also played some outdoor games, such as volleyball and football. The next morning we went fishing. It was a great fun. While hiking, we saw lots of beautiful places. Time passed so quickly and soon we had to go back home. No one wanted to leave. We thought it was an unforgettable experience.

Вид огромных деревьев и зеленых кустарников, цветущих диких цветов и бегущих речушек, пение птиц – все это уносит нас вдаль от угнетающей ежедневной рутины. Мне особенно нравится ходить в поход в горных местностях. Это более захватывающе, чем просто гулять по равнинам. Последний раз мы ходили в поход летом. Вместе с нашим учителем и группой школьников мы отправились исследовать живописные места на берегу реки Дон. Мы собрали все необходимые вещи, включая спальные мешки, еду, аптечку и спрей от комаров. Мы надели спортивную одежду и удобную обувь. Рюкзаки были довольно тяжелыми, но это не испортило путешествие. Самое главное, мы выбрали маршрут нашего путешествия и полностью запланировали поездку. Мы вышли в дорогу рано утром. К счастью, погода была отличной. Несмотря на то, что в небе были тучи, ветер быстро их разогнал. Наша первая трапеза на свежем воздухе казалась божественной. Мы испекли картошку и сосиски. Было довольно жарко, поэтому мы могли загорать и купаться в реке. Мы также играли в подвижные игры, например, волейбол и футбол. Следующим утром мы отправились на рыбалку. Было очень весело. Во время похода мы увидели много красивых мест. Время пролетело очень быстро, и вскоре нам нужно было возвращаться домой. Никто не хотел уходить. Мы считаем, что это было незабываемое приключение.

My worst holiday was when I was in Turkey. I think so because it was boring and tiring.
First of all, our hotel was awful. Our room was dirty and small. The food was almost inedible so I had to buy some snacks. The waiters were rude and impolite.
Secondly, there was no any entertainment there. All we had was just a TV in our room and a swimming pool. Fortunately, our neighbours were very friendly and I have made a friend in the hotel.
Finally, we couldn’t go anywhere we want. We had to be in the hotel territory and it really upset me.
To conclude, I didn’t like the holiday at all. Thanks to my new friend, I felt a little bit better about it but still I’m not satisfied with my holiday.

Travelling is my passion. Luckily, my parents are of the same opinion. So, each time we have a holiday, we try to go somewhere new. It can be either a new city, or a new country. We have already visited Poland, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria. I liked all of these countries, because people there were hospitable and I learned something new about each culture. I guess we travel even more within our country. We often fly to Sochi, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don and to some other cities. It happens by various reasons, not only when we are on holiday. First of all, we have many relatives and friends in other cities. Secondly, we are interested in educational opportunities that larger cities provide. Thirdly, my mum sometimes has business trips and takes me with her. I can’t imagine how people stay in one place. In my opinion, travelling is life. It gives you a chance to see new places, to meet new people, to discover interesting sights and to learn something new about other cultures. For example, in Poland I’ve learned that people, who live in secluded houses, build small churches or other religious monuments in the front yard. This makes their colourful houses look even more attractive. In Turkey I’ve learned that haggling is normal. Moreover, it’s a national tradition. When you buy something, you can insist on a lower price and local merchants won’t be offended. On the contrary, they are rather welcoming and kind to tourists. If we stay at home all the time, how will we learn such things about the world? One famous writer once said that a day spent in other places, gives us more than ten years of life at home, and I fully agree with him. Мы уже посетили Польшу, Италию, Австрию, Турцию, Грецию и Болгарию. Мне понравились все эти страны, потому что люди были гостеприимны, и я узнал что-то новое о каждой их этих культуры. Кажется, мы еще больше путешествуем по нашей стране. Мы часто летаем в Сочи, Москву, Ростов-на-Дону и в другие города. Это происходит по разным причинам, а не только из-за отпуска. Прежде всего, у нас много родственников и друзей в других городах. Во-вторых, мы интересуемся образовательными возможностями в более крупных городах. В-третьих, моя мама иногда совершает деловые поездки и берет меня с ней. Я не могу себе представить, как люди могут оставаться на одном месте. На мой взгляд, путешествия – это жизнь. Они дают возможность увидеть новые места, познакомиться с новыми людьми, открыть для себя интересные достопримечательности и узнать что-то новое о других культурах. Например, в Польше я узнала, что люди, которые живут в отдельных домах, строят небольшие церквушки или другие религиозные сооружения в передней части двора. Это делает их красочные дома еще более привлекательными. В Турции я узнала, что торговаться – это хорошо. Более того, это национальная традиция. Когда вы покупаете что-либо, вы можете настаивать на более низкой цене, и это не обидит местных торговцев. Напротив, они очень доброжелательны и добры к туристам. Если мы будем оставаться все время дома, как же мы узнаем о том, что происходит в мире? Один известный писатель как-то сказал, что день, проведенный в других местах, дает нам больше, чем десять лет жизни дома, и я с ним полностью согласна.

Millions of people all around the world adore travelling. We travel because we wish to see new countries and cities, visit historical places, meet new people and taste different cuisines. 

There are different means of transportation. People can travel by ship, airplane, train or car. All means of transportation have their advantages and disadvantages.

I would like to talk briefly about each of them.

Travelling by airplane is the fastest, but the most expensive. A lot of people prefer travelling by airplane, but some people are afraid of heights and that’s why they prefer travelling by train.

I have to notice that travelling by train is very popular in Russia. Modern trains have very comfortable carriages and seats. There is also the dining-car in each train. You can see many interesting places and enjoy the nature, looking through the window.

Trips on cruise ships have a lot of advantages. One of them is the amazing pricing. Most cruise lines are all-inclusive packages. This includes a person’s cruise fare, lodging, food and some onboard entertainment and sightseeing.

And, finally, travelling by car is also very popular in Russia. A lot of people choose this means of transportation. They don’t need to buy tickets, book hotels etc. They can stop whenever they wish, rest and stay at the same place as long as they want.

Hiking is a very popular means of travelling, but not as popular in Russia as it is popular abroad. Generally, young people prefer this kind of travelling. Walking tours are very exciting.

I prefer travelling by plane. To my mind, it is the most comfortable and fast means of transportation.

And finally, it is commonly known that travelling is a great thing! Nothing can give you so many positive emotions and memories as travelling to some remarkable country or city.

In October 2030, the rocket was launched with the goal journey to Mars. Humanity had long prepared for this event and finally it happened! At exactly 4 p. m. the rocket starts to leave the earth and in 6 months will be on Mars. It’s been 6 months. The rocket landed on Mars. The astronauts wondered how Mars is similar to Earth but without water and atmosphere. After some time they decided to look around. Some time later, they noticed movement in the sand. They thought what they thought but suddenly again. They slowly approached the place. A closer look, they are very much surprised. It was a creature resembling a kitten. After this incident, they’ll give a speech that will rock the whole world. And they will say that Mars has LIFE!

Recently I flew to the planet Venus. It’s very beautiful there! On her live strange "freaks" They are purple, with ears like Shrek. Their eyes are green - green and square. Freaks spoke in a language I did not understand, but I thought they were calling for help! Then they showed Me Zakem that they should go after them. I went. We passed a little, and I saw the same freak, only he was not like them. He was very sad. I approached him, he immediately shrank, apparently afraid of me. Suddenly I saw that he was all wounded. I always carried greens and plasters, just in case. Here this incident has come. I took the green and anointed the wounds of the monster. and then taped with adhesive tape. The freak got up. He started jumping and smiling. Then they thanked me. So I went to another planet

i would like to go to UK. Espessually Devon. there are beautiful landscapes. i lived there with my host family. There were 3 person - our host mom. Host dad. and their    daughter. we enjoyed spending our time by surfing fnd going to an English school. There were a lot of friendly and nice people. Every day we went shopping. And were having some fun. i met there one girl. the girl liked rock music. She was from Italy. WE were similar to each other. so we became friends  I  will never forget those fanatastic and dazzling days )))))

Millions of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling. They travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns, they travel to enjoy picturesque places, or just for a change of scene. It is always interesting to discover new things, different ways of life, to meet different people, to try different food, to listen to different musical rhythms.

Those who live in the country like to go to a big city and spend their time visiting museums and art galleries, looking at shop windows and dining at exotic restaurants. City-dwellers usually like a quiet holiday by the sea or in the mountains, with nothing to do but walk and bathe and lie in the sun.

Most travellers and holiday-makers take a camera with them and take pictures of everything that interests them — the sights of a city, old churches and castles, views of mountains, lakes, valleys, plains, waterfalls, forests, different kinds of trees, flowers and plants, animals and birds.

Later, perhaps years later, the photos will remind them of the happy time they once had.

People travel by train, by plane, by boat, and by car. All ways of travelling have their advantages and disadvantages. And people choose one according to their plans and destinations.

If we are fond of travelling, we see and learn a lot of things that we can never see or learn at home, though we may read about them in books and newspapers and see pictures of them on TV. The best way to study geography is to travel, and the best way to get to know and understand people is to meet them in their own homes.

Миллионы людей во всем мире проводят свой отпуск, путешествуя. Они путешествуют, чтобы увидеть другие страны и континенты, современные города и руины древних городов, они путешествуют, чтобы насладиться живописными местами, или просто для смены обстановки. Всегда интересно открыть что-то новое, увидеть другой образ жизни, встретить разных людей, попробовать разную пищу, послушать различные музыкальные ритмы.

Тем, кто живет за городом, нравится ездить в большой город и проводить свое время, посещая музеи и художественные галереи, разглядывая витрины и обедая в экзотических ресторанах. Городские обитатели обычно любят тихий отдых в горах или у моря, гуляя, купаясь и загорая на солнце.

Большинство путешественников и отдыхающих берут с собой фотоаппарат и снимают все, что интересует их — достопримечательности города, старые церкви и замки, виды гор, озер, долин, равнин, водопадов, лесов, различные виды деревьев, цветов и растений, животных и птиц.

Позже, возможно несколько лет спустя, фотографии напомнят им о счастливом времени, которое они проводили когда-то.

Люди путешествуют поездом, самолетом, на корабле и на машине. У всех способов путешествия есть свои преимущества и недостатки. И люди выбирают вид транспорта согласно своим планам и цели путешествия.

Если мы любим путешествовать, мы увидим и узнаем много такого, что мы никогда не сможем увидеть или узнать дома, хотя можно прочитать об этом в книгах и газетах и посмотреть по телевидению. Лучший способ изучать географию — это путешествовать, а лучший способ узнать и понять людей — это познакомиться с ними в их собственных домах.

Я думаю, что в будущем все будут жить в гармонии и радости. Доктора смогут найти  лекарство от всех болезней. Ученые придумают ошейник который может переводить язык  животных! Будущее будит совершенным и прекрасным! Мы откроем новые и полезные планеты. Я уверен (а), что преступность исчезнет и все будет хорошо, весело, красочно и дружно! Все найдут суперновую работу и не будет бездомных. Но самое главное, я надеюсь и искренне верю, что не будет войны и все будут живы и здоровы!
