January 1 is one of the most light and joyful holidays in the world, it’s New Year’s Day. This year, I spent it in the village with my parents and my grandmother, who lives near Volgograd. I have many friends in this village, because I often go there for my holidays.
Our parents allowed us to celebrate New Year in one of our neighbors’ house. We set a great holiday table with traditional Russian dishes which were prepared by my grandmother and our girls, they prepared a lot of different things: goose with apples, salads and my grandmother’s favorite hot pies.
I was Santa Claus during this holiday and I gave everybody the gifts that we had prepared for each other.
It was the most wonderful day of my life.

Наши родители позволили нам встретить Новый год в доме одного из наших соседей. Мы накрыли большой праздничный стол с традиционными русскими блюдами, которые готовили мои бабушка и наши девушки, они приготовили много разных вещей: гусь с яблоками, салаты и любимые горячие пирожки моей бабушки.
Я был Дедом Морозом в этот праздник, и я дарил всем подарки, которые мы приготовили друг для друга.
Это был самый замечательный день в моей жизни.

Because I’m very busy, I have not many can assist parents in farming.
But I still have some household duties. Every day I clean my bed and wash the dishes after lunch and dinner. To buy bread and milk are my responsibilities. I usually go to the bakery after dinner. I buy black and white bread, biscuits and cakes. The store is not far from our house, and daily shopping without taking up a lot of my time.
Once a week I help my mom with all the other chores around the house. We wash, patting and perpetrated by the linen and clean. The family plays a very important role in everybody’s life. Labour achievements, mood and what is called happiness depend on family relations. When young people marry, they sometimes think that happiness in their marriage will be created by somebody else, not by themselves. They are mistaken.
To create a happy marriage is their own duty. Both husband and wife must create their happiness together. A happy marriage does not mean that husband and wife must have similar characters but the ability to understand each other. It’s really very difficult to keep up a marriage without mutual understanding. When a family is happy, it means that all the members of the family trust each other, tell each other about their joys and sorrows.
The children love, respect and obey their parents. Housework may take a great deal of your time. But if all the members of the family help each other, has his special duties, keeping house won’t be so difficult. So to create a happy family is a difficult problem, but everything depends on ourselves.
Only when each member of the thinks about the happiness of the others the family will be happy. Clever and understanding parents are always ready to help and find the way out. We know there will still be a family to turn to for love, compassion and understanding, the family will remain in our soul forever.
