My name is Oksana. Our family is neither large nor small, just a typical family : I have a mother, a father, my brother and a sister and our cat. We all live together in a three-room flat in one of the industrial districts of Kharkiv. We are an average family.
My father Ihor Ivanovych is 45 years old. He is a tall and well-built man with short black hair and grey eyes. He works as a manager at a big plant. He likes his work and spends most of his time there. By character my father is a quiet man, while my mother is energetic and talkative.
My mother’s name is Olha Petrivna. My Mummy is forty, she is a teacher of music and plays the piano well. My mother always has a lot of work to do about the house and at school. She is a born teacher. She is a busy woman and we all help her.
My sister’s name is Alla. Like our mother Alla has blue eyes and fair hair. She is a very good-looking girl. Alla is three years younger than me. She is a pupil of the 8th form. All of us like to spend our weekends in the country. We often go to the village where our grandparents live. They are aged pensioners now, but prefer to live in the country. My grand-grandmother is still alive. She lives in my grandmother’s family and is always glad to see us. Her health is poor and she asks us to come and see her more often. I also have many other relatives: uncles, aunts, cousins. We are happy when we are together.

I have a small but great family. In my family there is my father, mother, and sister. My father is hard-working and always takes great care of us. Our mother cooks very delicious meals and we always look forward to them. And my sister is usually a nice person, but sometimes she can be in a bad mood. Because of that we can have a fight, but in the end we always make up and having a good relationship again.
Often on the weekends we go to places like the park. If we go to the park we have a picnic. At that time we usually have too much food with us, since my sister and parents love to eat. But I can’t eat so much, so I usually feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of food.
Sometimes we also go to an exhibition. Usually we look at paintings together that were put on display. My mother knows a lot about art, so she can usually tell us many interesting things about it.
Most of all though I enjoy going to festivals together. Recently we went to a festival we had in our city. There were many fun attractions all over the place. Everyone was enjoying themselves and wearing interesting costumes. I wasn’t sure about the purpose of the festival but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
My family is small but we have a big heart and enjoy being together. I think that is the most important.

Picnic is the most important thing in our life, because after long and diffucult works, school subjects or just houseworks everybody wants to have a rest with family or friends. And I had a rest in summer with my family. It was the greatest picnic in my life, because I was happy so much. I with my family had a picnic there, where is the best weather, that our mood was also better than in the city. We had a picnc near the river, we lestened to music, played games, told each other anekdots, that everybody laughed. Our mood changed very fast, because there is no the other thing which can help us to be happy, beautiful nature, trees, plants, jokes, acspecially everything helped us to forget about difficult things, which we meet every day. I really wanted to have the picnic very often, because the same thing like a rest can be the most important thing in our life, that without it we can’t live.

. Friendship and my best friend
According to the dictionary friendship is a feeling and behaviour that exist between people, but what these feelings are and what this behaviour is everyone should decide for himself. I consider that friendship is a gift from the God. that’s why I highly appreciate it. I think it is hard to find a close friend because people are unique creatures of nature, all of them have their own habits, opinions and judgments which differ from others.
It makes sense to say that friendship can be compared to a tree. Its seed should find good soil and under favourable conditions it will grow into a tree. As the years go by the tree stands firmer and firmer on the ground and if it is strong enough it will survive all the storms and winds, but to help it we should take care of it and love it.
In my opinion lucky are the people who have real friends. As for me I’m happy to have lots of friends, some of them are close, some are less, but all of them make my life interesting and enjoyable and I can’t imagine my life without them, because friendship means very much for me. Being friends means making allowances for the other person’s faults, being tolerant to each other moods. The most important thing about friends for me is being able to share secrets, to tell each other your problems and share your worries, to help each other out.
Lies.
Are the lies always bad? No, i don’t think so. I want to talk about white lie. I think, that lie - is pecular maneuver (своеобразный маневр ) to avoid unpleasat for me situation. No, i don’t want to say, that we should live lying, but a little white lie never killed someone (i hope). I talk about that kind lie, that help me and everyone not to offend someone, who is close to you,
For example - your mom buys expensive vase on which has long been hoarding, but it looks like an dead snail. I think, that nobody say analogy with dead snail.
That what i call white lie. I think, that it is very useful for life.

My grandfather is dead but my grandma is still alive and she lives with us. We also have cat, his name is Jacob. We all live in a flat in Moscow. I have got an amazing view through my window. All of us share this flat. Sometimes it seems to be absolutely crazy but I like it, because we live all together and have lots of fun. My mum is very attractive, she is pretty young with big blue eyes. She is a nurse in the hospital opposite to my house. My dad is a big man, he is pilot. I dont see him very often and that is why we all miss him a lot. My younger brothers are noisy and a bit annoying especially when they run around and disturb be during my study time.
