Вам нравится город, где вы живете? Мне нравится!

Я живу в самом лучшем в мире городе. Потому, что он красивый, он родной. Тут я родилась, выросла.

Именно в этом городе я сделала первые шаги, сказала первые слова, первый раз увидела самого родного человека на земле: маму.  

По определению словаря, «Восток или Запад, а дома лучше" является пословица, которая означает "Дом является лучшим местом, чтобы быть независимо от того, где она есть". Я люблю путешествовать и тратить свое свободное время на открытом воздухе, но в любом случае я, конечно, вернулся домой. «Мой дом моя крепость», это правда! Путешествия интересно мне это помогает обогатить свои знания, и я могу увидеть или узнать что-то новое. Я хотел бы сделать посещение моих друзей, общаться с ними. У нас есть общие вкусы во многих вещах. Мы прислушиваемся к знакомой группы, читают те же журналы, и мы любим говорить на разные темы.     Firstly, it allows us to save our time that is very necessary in our modern age. In addition to this, it is fast, convenient. Secondly, you can get to the places you want very quickly. Moreover, car enables you to enjoy your trip.
   But there are some disadvantages of it. It pollutes the environment, releasing harmful substances that can affect people’s health negatively. Besides, it is an expensive enjoyment and not everyone is able to afford this purchase.

I live in the city of Ulyanovsk, which is situated west of my country, about 800 kilometers from the capital, Moscow. It has a population of about half a million.
Ulyanovsk is situated on two rivers, the Volga and the Sviyaga, which float in opposite directions, and in past it was an important port. Nowadays, it's all finished, and the harbor is mostly used by pleasure boats. The main industries are engineering, plane-building, weapon constructing anв so on.
There is an open space called the Volga Hill in the centre of the town and to the north-west of that is a district, which has beautiful and unique 18th century houses and cobbled streets. It's a nice place to visit, because it reflects the spirit of the best years of the Russian Empire.
There are quite a lot of things to see in Ulyanovsk. For instance, there's beautiful ensembleу of modern architecture, which was built to the 100th birth of Lenin, and several other tourist attraction like the President Bridge across the Volga, Goncharov House and many other old and interesting places.
We've got approximately 50 universities and colleges! However, only 5 of them are known all over Russia: the Classical Ulyanovsk State University, which is actually my alma mater, Pedagogical University, Technical University, Agricultural Academy and High Aviation School. So, there are a lot of students and plenty of amenities like bookshops, cinemas, coffee shops, theatres, etc. It's a good place to live!

My native city is Rostov-on-Don. It is the capital of the Don area. It was founded in 1749. It is situated on the right bank of the river Don.
In the past Rostov was a small town with small population. But now the territory of Rostov-on-Don is 380 square kilometres and the population is more than one million people.
Our city is a big industrial, scientific and cultural centre in the South of Russia. The plant “Rostselmash” is known not only in our country but abroad as well.
The largest scientific and educational establishment is the Rostov State University, which was founded in 1915 and now has more then ten faculties.
In Rostov there are four theatres: Gorky Drama Theatre, Musical Comedy, Puppet Show, Theatre of Young Spectators. The Gorky Theatre is surrounded by a large park named after the October Revolution. It is one of many parks and gardens which make Rostov a green town and where Rostovites like to walk on a nice sunny day.
During the Second World War Rostov-on-Don was occupied twice (1941 and 1942). The war cost Rostovites huge losses in life. That is why in the city there are a lot of monuments devoted to the war years and people who gave their lives for our peaceful life.
Rostov-on-Don is a large transport centre. It is not only a big knot of railways and airways but it is also the port of five seas (the Baltic, the White, the Caspian, the Black and the Sea of Asov).
Nowadays Rostov-on-Don as many other cities and villages in Russia is undergone the process of economical changes. But we hope that in some years people will be able to overpass all the difficulties and Rostov-on-Don will occupy its place of one of the biggest industrial cities of Russia.
