My spring holidays were rather short, but they were really fantastic! I watched many interesting movies, read some books, spent time with my parents. Besides, I went to the squere to see national kazakh yurt with my friends. They were very beautiful and unusual. We spent two hours on the squere, watching every yurt. It was very interesting to know more about other customs and traditions. Kazakh yurts are so colourful! I have never seen such amazing houses before. I liked my holidays very much!

My spring break was really fantastic and unforgettable. On the 21st of March my Mom told me that we are going to visit our relatives in Almaty. It is the former capital of Kazakhstan.
What I was really delighted with was the nature of the region. Almaty has a lot of green parks by itself, but what really took mu breathe away was the neighborhood. My Mom and I visited many well-known places such as Tamgaly Tas, Issyk Kurgan, Medeo, Alatau mountains, Turgen waterfall and Charyn canyon. These places gave me so many impressions.
At first, we decided to go to Medeo and Alatau. Medeo is one of the biggest mountain-top skating rinks in the world. It is situated in the vicinity of Alatau mountains. We visited these places several times, and every time enjoyed the view of mountains covered with spruces and snow-white peaks.
Next destination was Issyk Kurgan. There are many sandy hills 7 hours east from Almaty. But only some of them sing! Yah, they really sing when someone walks on them or wind blows, and keep silence when there is no motion. It appears to happen because of special structure of sand that is still under study. The only thing I said was “Wow!”
And finally, we went to Tamgaly Tas. This place is a historic place of first people, ancestors of Kazakh nation. We heard many emotional stories about that place such as history of ancient Kazakhs, how they developed workmanship, art and so on. I was very surprised when I saw various pictures of people stamped out on rocks at bronze and iron periods. Pictures are so beautiful and unusual. They describe and depict men and animals.
I liked my spring break so much. Undoubtedly I will come again to Almaty this summer.

But the last summer holiday that I just spent was extremely interesting and fascinating. It’s held on the first of September. I and my eight friends, all pupils of high school # 35, traveled to Almaty. We visited many well-known places such as: Tamgaly Tas, Issyk Kurgan, Medeo, Alatau mountain, Turgen waterfall. These places gave me so many memories.
At first, we were off at 6 a. m. and visited Tamgaly Tas. This place is a historic place of first people, ancestors of Kazakh nation. We heard many emotional stories about them and about the this place such as: the history of ancient kazakh people, how they developed workmanship and art. I was very surprised when I saw stony pictures of people of bronze and iron periods. There were so many beutiful and unusual pictures describing and depicting animals. After that we visited other places that I mentioned before. And I liked them too. And finally I was impressed by the magic sound of sand on Issyk Kurgan.
I liked my summer holiday so much. That’s why I decided to come to Almaty again for this spring vacation.

I spent this winter vacation in the city. The holidays began a few days before the New Year, and it seemed to me that they would go on for a very long time. Before the New Year, a lot of snow fell, which gave winter, especially, a fabulous view. New Year we met at home with the whole family. And although I no longer believe in fairy tales, I wanted some kind of miracle or magic. And here it happened! Rather, it was a strange accident. On the day when, on the eve of the holiday, my mother was fussing around in the kitchen for a long time, while my father and I were decorating the tree, the doorbell suddenly rang. We waited for my grandparents, and so I ran to open the door. I looked into the peephole and did not believe my eyes. Behind the door stood a real Santa Claus in a red coat and with a huge beard, and next to the Snow Maiden with a blond scythe. Why I immediately thought it was real, because the last time it was an unsuccessfully disguised dad. Everything was easier than it could be. Father Frost and Snow Maiden were actors who mistaken the apartment, but I still got the magic candy. The first January days of winter holidays turned out to be sunny and very frosty. These days it was great to walk outside and play various winter games-fun. True, it was not possible to make a snowman, because in such frost the snow was loose and not sticky at all. After such cheerful walks, especially, it was nice to be at home, where a hot mother’s dinner was waiting for me. In the evenings, my dad and I read books and played board games, which turned out to be much more interesting than a computer. On one of the days of the winter holidays, we all visited the circus. To be honest, I did not really like it, because I felt sorry for the animals. The next day together with my mother they went to the theater for a play for schoolchildren, it turned out to be very interesting and quite boring. So I spent the winter holidays, which though not as long as summer, but rich and interesting. So now it remains to be patient and wait for spring and summer.

This year the real skating rink was opened in the nearby park. My parents and I will certainly go there. I don’t know how to skate, but I will learn.

Summer is so perfect; it’s the most appealing part of the year. I also like winter, because I can skate and ski. I enjoy spring with its romantic atmosphere. I appreciate autumn full of poetry and colored leaves. All seasons have something impressive. But summer is the queen of all seasons. Summer is a cushy time. You can get up wherever you want, spend all your free time with your peers, watching cartoons and films. Summer is a fairy tale for all pupils.
The summer in this year was also full of magnificent events. First of all, I spent 10 days with my family by the sea. It was so cool that I didn’t want to leave that magic land. Where was it? It’s my secret! Then I spent several days in the village where my Granny lives. She lives in a small lovely house and has many domestic animals. Animals are my passion.
