Мои неудачные летние каникулы
I always look forward to my summer holidays. In my opinion, there’s nothing like the Russian countryside. We’ve got a small country house in a very picturesque place not far from Zagorsk. There’s a river and a lake there. My friends and I often go swimming and boating there. I’m also fond of lying in the sun.
There’s a lot of fish in the lake, so I sometimes go fishing. I like to sit in silence for a while waiting for a fish to get caught and listening to the birds singing in the trees. When I happen to catch a fish I set it free at once, because I do fishing just for pleasure.
When it’s very hot I usually go to the forest. The air is cool there. I like to walk in the shade of the trees and pick mushrooms and berries. I’ve got a dog called Jack. He becomes so happy when I take him with me to the forest.
Jack likes to run after butterflies or dragonflies. I sometimes play with him. I throw a stick and he brings it back to me.
But last summer my parents decided to go to some other place for a change. They made up their minds to go to the Crimea. I think it was the greatest mistake they had ever made. This, in a nutshell, is what happened.
To begin with, it was very difficult to find a place to stay. We rented a room in a house a long way from the sea. It was the only place we managed to get. It took us about half an hour to get to the beach. But it didn’t matter, as it turned out a few days later. Suddenly our happy sunny days were over. It started to rain. It occasionally cleared up for a while but then the rain went on again. All we could do was to spend all our time in the cinema or in a cafe. It was impossible to leave because we had made reservations beforehand and we had to spend another week there. I had never seen so many films in my life. By the end of the week I got very tired of the cinema and I could only lie on the bed reading books or staring at the ceiling.
At last the happy day of our departure came. You can’t imagine how astonished we were. The sun began to shine early in the morning. It seemed to me that it was laughing at us.
After that holiday we decided to spend every summer in the country.

Когда очень жарко я обычно иду в лес. Там прохладно. Я люблю гулять в тени деревьев и собирать грибы и ягоды. У меня есть собака по кличке Джек. Он становится очень счастлив, когда я беру его с собой в лес.  
Джек любит гоняться за бабочками и стрекозами. Я иногда играю с ним. Я бросаю палку, и он приносит ее обратно ко мне.  
Но прошлым летом мои родители решили поехать в другое место. Они решили поехать в Крым. Я думаю, что это была самая большая ошибка, которую они сделали. Вот, по сути, что произошло.  
Во-первых, было очень трудно найти место для проживания. Мы сняли комнату в доме, далеко от моря. Это было единственное место, которое мы смогли получить. К концу недели я очень устал от кино, и  мог только лежать на кровати, читая книги или смотря в потолок.  
Наконец настал счастливый день нашего отъезда. Вы не можете себе представить, как мы удивились. Рано утром засияло солнце. Мне показалось, что оно смеется над нами.  
После этого отдыха мы решили проводить каждое лето в деревне.

Summer vacation is three wonderful months which you can spend how you want. As much as I want to meet friends, read books, to travel or to visit grandma and grandpa and meet with the children who live there. Summer holidays mean you can sleep all you want, and then how much you want to chase the ball in the yard or sewing dolls clothes, sitting with friends on a blanket spread out in the yard. And yet - every day is ice cream.
 Summer vacation is swimming in the river or in the lake, and if you’re lucky, and in the sea. Sea summer is always such a fabulous, fantastic color. And swim in abundance is impossible, all the time want more and more.

It was happen on my summer holidays. I went to the zoo with my friends. There were: monkeys, penguins, zebras, lions, hippocampus, giraffes and other animals. I started feeling myself like in a Madagascar cartoon. It was very interesting.

My summer was unforgettable, every day I played with friends, went to the river, swam in the sea, visited my grandmother from the village. Every day was filled with various positive emotions, and there was not any time to upset. I found new friends who became me as relatives, with whom we spent a lot of time together and there was a lot of memories that I will never forget.

This summer I went to the country to stay with my grandparents.

 I stayed there for a week or two.

 In the village I went fishing, went for long bike rides and helped grandparents in the garden.

 I had many friends there. 

 We liked to go to the river.

 We swam in warm water, sunbathde and played badminton.

 We often sat by the fire with my friends, cooked potatoes and sang songs to the guitar.

 At  the end of the summer, all my family went  abroad.

  We went to Turkey this year.

 Our vacation in Turkey was wonderful.

 We went to the beach every day, swam in the sea and in the pool, ate delicious food or drank cocktails.

 In the evening we went to parties or visited restaurants.

 Summer holidays are never too long for me.

  I hope that my next summer holidays will be the same or even better!

I love the autumn holidays. They give a break in their studies. Just a pity that they are so short.
Autumn holidays last only a week, sometimes ten days. Don’t have time to really relax as it is time to school. But quickly wean to get up early in the morning. And then in the morning, crawl out from the bed.
Usually I spend my autumn holiday at home. The weather has been cold and rainy, so the street is not particularly going for a walk. At home I read books, or rummage in the Internet. If the sun peeks out, I go out in the yard. In the evenings, we play with dad, checkers, backgammon and other Board games.
Sometimes, when the weather allows, parents go into the woods for mushrooms. And I, of course, too. Therefore, the word "autumn holiday" I remember the wet forest and mushrooms.
Even on fall break we go to grandma’s. I stay with her for a few days. My arrival grandma usually takes tickets at the circus or at a child’s play, and we go to see the show.
We are on vacation do not miss, our homeroom teacher also organizes a cultural campaign, for example, in a Museum or an exhibition. Last fall we visited the Dolphinarium. There were trained seals, white whales and dolphins. I have left a lot of impressions! So those autumn holidays I spent very good.

На осенних каникулах я часто гулял (гуляла) с друзьями. Как-то, мы пошли в парк, покататься на роликах. Всё было хорошо, но вдруг, один из моих друзей упал. Мы не растерялись: помогли ему встать и добраться до лавочки, съездили в аптеку и купили бинт, вату и спирт. Вот так мы помогли другу в опасности.

Our autumn holidays weren’t very long. The weather wasn’t fine and pleasant. Sometimes it was rather cool and I didn’t want to go out. I read a very interesting book and listened to my favorite music. When my close friend came to see me, we played chess and computer games. Sometimes we watched cartoons on TV. I especially like autumn holidays when the sun shines brightly and the sky is clear. In such weather I usually go to the park with my friends. We like to roller-skate there. Last weeked my parents and I had a picnic in the autumn forest. It was sunny and warm and we were happy.

Summer holidays everyone passes in different ways. Someone is resting on the sea, someone is at home, and someone has gone to the forest to rest. I rested in the woods, and I really enjoyed it. in the forest everything is beautiful and bright. and if you do not know how to relax in the summer, oh forest is the best choice!

I really like summer holidays! I think I like summer holidays, because children don’t go school, walk everyday with friends, play games in garden.
This summer was really fun! In june I was at home, but I walked with my friends everyday. In july I went in camp. It was fun. In augest I did my homework.
At the first day of September I went to school. I really like summer!

Dear Dad,
I was so happy to get your letter. I am sorry I haven’t answered earlier but I was really busy with my school.
You asked me to tell you about my school. Well, I finished the school year very well. I have to pass many different exams, since I’m in 9th grade. I plan to go to the 10th grade next year. Holidays I will spend with my friends and parents. I think I can come to visit you.
Unfortunately, I’d better go now as I’ve got a lot of homework to do. Keep in touch!

My worst holiday was when I was in Turkey. I think so because it was boring and tiring. 
First of all, our hotel was awful. Our room was dirty and small. The food was almost inedible so I had to buy some snacks. The waiters were rude and impolite.
Secondly, there was no any entertainment there. All we had was just a TV in our room and a swimming pool. Fortunately, our neighbours were very friendly and I have made a friend in the hotel. 
Finally, we couldn’t go anywhere we want. We had to be in the hotel territory and it really upset me. 
To conclude, I didn’t like the holiday at all. Thanks to my new friend, I felt a little bit better about it but still I’m not satisfied with my holiday
