My family is not big, but also is not small: Dad, Mom, me, my brother, and my sister. We live in Kiev. My Mum is forty-three, she is a dentist. My Dad is forty-five, he is a translator, and he works for a publishing house. My parents both like their work very much.
My name’s Anton, I’m fifteen. I go to gymnasium. My favorite lessons are English and Spanish. I like foreign languages as my Dad, so I want to be an interpreter. After school graduation I will enter Kiev Linguistic University.
My elder sister Katya is nineteen, she goes to the Kiev National University, and she wants to be an archeologist. She is fond of ancient history and archeology. In summer she goes to excavations of ancient towns, such as Olvia, Khersones and others.
My younger brother Sasha is eight years old, he goes to school. He likes spending time outdoors, playing computer games and watching TV.
My grandparents are retired. They spend a lot of their time in the garden, growing vegetables and fruits.
We have united family and always help each other. Everyone in my family is my best friend. I love my family very much.

Моя семья не очень большая, но и не маленькая: папа, мама, я, брат и сестра. Мы живем в Киеве. Моей маме сорок три года, она стоматолог. Моему отцу сорок пять лет, он переводчик, работает в издательстве. Моим родителям очень нравится их работа.
Меня зовут Антон, мне 15 лет. Я хожу в гимназию. Мои любимые уроки — английский и испанский. Я люблю иностранные языки, как и мой папа, поэтому хочу быть устным переводчиком. После окончания школы я буду поступать в Киевский университет иностранных языков.
Моей старшей сестре Кате девятнадцать лет, она учится в Киевском Национальном университете и хочет быть археологом. Она увлекается историей и археологией. Летом она ездит на раскопки древних городов, таких как Ольвия, Херсонес и другие.
Моему младшему брату Саше 8 лет, он ходит в школу. Он любит проводить время на открытом воздухе, играть в компьютерные игры и смотреть телевизор.
Мои бабушка и дедушка — пенсионеры. Они проводят много времени на приусадебном участке, выращивают овощи и фрукты.
У нас дружная семья и мы всегда помогаем друг другу. Каждый член семьи — мой лучший друг. Я очень люблю мою семью.

I’ve got a very close-knit family. We get on well and spend a lot of time together. We always rely on each other and give a hand if necessary. We are very different and have various professions, interests and hobbies but there is a really strong connection among us. I trust my family members and confide in them. They are my best friends. They treat me with respect and they always take into account my opinion. We belong to different generations and that’s why we often have different points of view, but we usually manage to arrive at a compromise. As every family sometimes we have rows, however they are never serious. Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.

I enjoy visiting my grandparents in the village. They are interesting and always tell me exciting stories. Best of all I like when we take our tent to the forest nearby and camp there. Dad makes a barbecue of meat and fish and mum brings pots of food from grandma. We play football and other games during a daytime. At night dad plays the guitar and we sing songs around our camp fire. Mum, dad and I and Oleg. I like my family; life is great! My name is Alexander. Well, I am 13 and live in a happy family made up of my mum, dad and my younger brother, Oleg, who is eight. My Dad Vladimir is an electrician and works at a plant. He fixes electric motors for factories. The job is ok I think but my dad always tells me to study better, so, I can get a different occupation when I am bigger. My mum, Natalie, works in a supermarket which is a useful job because she gets discounts on food and brings home tasty sweets and chocolate, occasionally new computer games which Oleg and I have never played before.

Меня зовут Александр. Мне 13 лет, и я живу в счастливой семье, которая состоит из моей мамы, папы и моего младшего брата Олега, которому восемь лет. Мой папа Владимир – электрик, и работает на заводе. Он устанавливает электродвигатели для фабрик. Работа не плохая, я думаю, но мой папа всегда напоминает мне учиться лучше, чтобы я смог получить другую работу, когда вырасту. Моя мама Наталия, работает в супермаркете, это полезная работа, потому что она получает скидки на продукты и приносит домой вкусные конфеты и шоколад, иногда новые компьютерные игры, в которые, Олег и я никогда не играли прежде.
Я люблю навещать бабушку и дедушку в деревне. Они интересные люди и всегда рассказывают мне захватывающие истории.  Больше всего мне нравится, когда мы берем нашу палатку и идем к лесу поблизости и разбиваем лагерь. Папа делает барбекю из мяса и рыбы, а мама приносит еду от бабушки в кастрюльках. Мы играем в футбол и другие игры в дневное время. Ночью папа играет на гитаре, а мы поем песни вокруг костра. Мама, папа, и я, и Олег. Мне нравится моя семья; жизнь - замечательна!

I live in a family of five. They are my father, my mother, my sister, my grandmother and me. My father is 45 and he is a businessman. My mother is 43 and she is a lawyer. My sister is 15 and she is a student. My grandmother is 65 and she is a pensioner I love my family.
Я живу в семье, состоящей из 5 человек. Это моя папа, моя мама, моя сестра, моя бабушка и я. Моему папе 45 лет, и он бизнесмен. Моей маме 43, и она юрист. Моей сестре 15 лет, и она ученица. Моей бабушке 65 лет, и она пенсионерка. Я люблю свою семью.

Не могу сказать, что наша семья чем-то сильно отличается от других семей нашей страны. Нет в ней ничего необычного и выдающегося. Однако для меня она самая лучшая. Я очень люблю своего отца. По работе ему часто приходится ездить в длительные командировки, поэтому дома он бывает редко. Однако когда он приезжает, в нашей семье всегда бывает праздник. С отцом мне всегда весело и интересно. Он много знает и умеет, всегда находит полезную и интересную работу, в которой я тоже могу ему помочь.  Маму я люблю ничуть не меньше папы. Для меня мама – самый дорогой и близкий человек. Она всегда поддержит и поможет, даст дельный совет. Моя мама умеет многое. Она очень хорошо готовит, умеет шить и вязать. В нашем доме всегда чисто и уютно, и в этом заслуга нашей мамы. Я люблю разговаривать с ней, и из каждой беседы узнаю много нового и интересного для себя. У меня есть младший брат. Он непослушный, шаловливый, но все равно я его очень люблю. Он очень любит играть со мной. В нашем доме есть и животные. У нас живут две кошки и попугайчики. Они тоже чувствуют себя здесь уютно и знают, что их здесь любят. Наша семья очень дружная, вот почему она для меня самая лучша.
Can’t say that our family is something very different from the other families of our country. No it’s nothing unusual and outstanding. However, for me it is the best. I love your father very much. At work he often has to travel on long trips, so it is rare. However, when he arrives, our family is always a holiday. Dad and me always fun and interesting. He knows a lot and can always find useful and interesting job in which I can help him.  Mom I love you no less dad. For me mother is the dearest and closest person. She always support and help, giving good advice. My mom knows a lot. She is very good cook, can sew and knit. Our house is always clean and comfortable, and in the merit of our mother. I love talking to her, and from every talk I learn a lot of new and interesting for yourself. I have a younger brother. He’s a naughty, naughty, but still I love him very much. He loves to play with me.
В our house is, and animals. We live two cats and parrots. They also feel comfortable here and know that they are loved. Our family is very friendly, that’s why she’s the best for me.

My family consists of four people: mom, dad, my brother Peter and ya. Kazhdy year we go to the very nature and have fun time. Play various games, fry the kebabs, sleep in palatke. Takoe pastime really brings us together. I love my family.

My family very big! In my family five person: mother, grandmother, aunt, brother and I. My mother very good cook, her food very delicious. Моя семья очень большая в моей семье пять человек: мать, бабушка, тетя, брат и я. Моя мама очень хорошо готовит, ее еда очень вкусная. Ах, да, моя бабушка, любит смотреть телевизор и помогать моей матери в квартире. Мой брат, ну, он просто великий брат, мать гордиться им. Моя тетя смешная и дружелюбная она всегда помогает мне. Это моя семья!

The man. at the window is my uncle John (standing). He’s rather unusual person. He’s got five pets. in his house (living). One of these pets. Greeny is a young crocodile (called). It lives in the bathroom and. anybody but his master to come in (not allowing) The other pet is a parrot. to speak ( taught). He says rather strange things sometimes. The other two pets are bulldogs. at everybody. to the door of the flat (barking) (coming). It’s not surprising that uncle John lives alone. by his wife two years ago when his fifth pet a large snake. to him by a famous travellor appeared in his flat (left) (presented).

I'd like to tell you about my family. It's not very big. My mother doesn't work. She is good, clever and she always waits for me from school. She can do everything and she teaches me a lot of things. I like her very much. My father is a captain of the police. He has a very interesting work. He helps people. He is seldom at home because he has a lot of work, but we know that he loves us. To my mind, my father is the best man I have ever met. I have a sister, called Ksyusha. She studies at the Medical Academy. We are having a great time together. We like to go camping and play table games. I like my family. I want to be a good daughter and make my family happy.

William Shakespeare (1564-1616) was one of the greatest and famous writers in human history. He was born in Stratford-on-Avon, a small town in the middle of England. His father wanted his son to be a well-educated person and William was sent to the local grammar school. Studying at school the boy actually did not have any free time. But he spent his rare spare hours walking in the forest or watching the river Avon. Those days there were not a lot of theatres in towns and actors and actresses had to travel moving from one place to another with their shows. Sometimes they visited Stratford-on-Avon. William liked to watch them playing. He got fond of their profession and he decided to become an actor. He went to London and there he became an actor. At that time he began to write plays too. Shakespeare was at the same time an actor and a playwright. In his works he reflected events of his contemporaries’ life. His plays were staged in many theatres, translated into many foreign languages. That made Shakespeare a very popular man. Most famous of his plays are Othello, King Lear, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet. They are still popular and you can watch his. plays in almost any country of the world. He produced thirty seven plays at all. He had connections with the best English theatres for about 25 years. William Shakespeare wrote also a lot of poetry including his unbeaten sonnets. There are numerous songs written with his poems. He is still most often published author of the world and well known among people. We do not know much about his life. We can only guess what kind of man he was analyzing the legends and a few documents of the time. Shakespeare died in 1616, but millions people today still admire his plays.
