But the most important thing is that newspapers, radio and television bring people - this is information. It is very important nowadays to receive full and accurate information. Those television programs, radio programs and newspapers that provide reliable information are always popular. Sensational events, such as crimes, natural disasters or unusual incidents, are always very interesting. That’s why many newspapers and television programs talk about them together with serious information. Regular daily media outlets tell about international, state or local news. Most of them have different pictures, photos, illustrations. The mass media also draw public attention to the most pressing problems in society. This can be a problem of health care, education, transport or even corruption in the government. Much attention is paid to media advertising. It helps people navigate the diversity of firms and stores that offer their goods and services. In general, the mass media help us to form our opinion on various events, providing information about what is happening in society, and also the distribution of entertainment.

Mass Media plays a very important role in modern society. The most important means of media include radio, television, newspapers, magazines, and Internet. These sources inform, educate and somehow entertain us. My favorite media resource is Internet. It represents all sources in one. If I want to read the daily news, I go online. If I want to read magazines about things that interest me, I address Internet. When I want to listen to the radio or to watch a new film, again I turn on my computer. Basically, Internet is the media resource which has successfully displaced all other means from use. If I had no Internet at all, I would choose television. This is another media resource which I find engaging and useful. Radio is another media source I like. I listen to music almost all day long. Speaking about printed press, I should say that my parents are subscribed to a local newspaper. They also buy some magazines from time to time. My mum likes reading “Elle” and “Cosmopolitan” magazines and my dad usually buys magazines about motor and racing cars.
