Некоторые выступления особенно очаровывают своей неповторимостью и талантливостью, заставляют переживать и болеть. Можно узнать много нового. «Самый умный» - моя любимая. Передача для детей. Да и участниками соревнований есть способные ученики разного возраста. Ведущая восторженно ведет передачу, умеет подбодрить, поддержать и поверить в победу. Ученики настойчивы, сосредоточены, умеют собраться с мыслями, многие знают. Ведь задача не из легких. Много интересно узнаю и я. Вот почему мне очень нравится передача. Я занимаюсь музыкой, поэтому музыкальные передачи являются моими любимыми. Шоу «Голос страны» одна из таких передач. В передаче выступают талантливые участники, которые прошли предварительный отбор. Опытное жюри по голосу исполнителя оценивает его. Здесь играет большую роль вокальное мастерство участника. Зрителю рассказывают о жизни конкурсанта, занятия, мечты. Лучшие вокалисты проходят в следующий тур. В замечательных наставников повышают свое мастерство. В передаче звучат хиты и неизвестные песни. Я советую многим посмотреть эту музыкальную передачу. Моя любимая телепередача „Футбольный обзор". Там рассказывается о все футбольные матчи, которые состоялись в течение недели. Мне это очень интересно. Я узнаю много нового о футболе. Мне нравится этот вид спорта. Я им занимаюсь.
Автором моей любимой телепрограммы является Discovery. Это еженедельная программа. Ее показывают по воскресеньям. Эта программа очень популярна в нашей стране. В ней показывают много исторических мест, рассказывают интересные факты о различных странах, передают интервью с известными людьми. Мне нравится эта программа, и я стараюсь не пропускать ее.

Mass media has its advantages and disadvantages. It is always pleasant to rest and relax watching TV, listening to the radio or reading newspapers. I can get information about famous people and travel round the world without wasting money. Some people use mass media to study at home and to find new friends. Sport programmes help us to keep fit.
But on the otherhand we spend a lot of time watching useless programmes, playing computer games and because of that reason we have no friends. Later we get lazy, move less and put on weight as there is no time and wish for sport activities in the fresh air. For this reason we get nervous and sleep bad.
The main source of news for millions of people is television. People like TV because they can see everything with their own eyes. I prefer TV to other kinds of mass media. There is always a great variety of programmes on TV: news and talk shows, TV games, documentaries, feature films and theatre performances. Of course, not all programmes are good. That is why I don’t spend hours in front of the TV set. Fortunately, I have my younger sister and brother and a lot of different cartoons in the house. My favorite cartoon is "Sponge Bob". It is very funny and helps me to relax after a hard working day.
Sometimes I spend free time on the Internet. Fifty years ago people didn’t even hearof computers but today they cannot imagine their life without the Internet. I can easily find and communicate with my friends even they are very far from me. On- line shopping, for example, makes possible to find exactly what you want at the best price. E-mail is a great invention too. It is fast and cheap. The Internet helps me with my lessons. No doubt, it is interesting to learn foreign languages with the help of the Internet.
All in all mass media has changed our life for the better and nothing can substitute it.

I decided to be a journalist. I think it is an interesting and useful profession.
I like to watch TV, listen to the radio, read newspapers and magazines. I like everything which connected with mass media. My favorite school subjects are Russian, English and literature.
I like the profession of a journalist. They meet many people. They try to understand what is going on in the world, or the country, or the city and try to explain it to other people.
I think that the work of a journalist is very much like that of historian. A historian studies and tries to explain events of the past and a journalist do the same about the present.
But for me to be a journalist is much more interesting than to be a historian because you deal with real events that are happening right now so you can even influence them.
So journalists can influence the history. That is why I want to be a journalist.
There are many interesting professions. I come to my conclusion that it’s important to choose the profession which you like and have a passion for. All professions are necessary and important.

It is the largest in the world. The newspapers contain and give coverage of local, home and foreign affairs. Their publications deal with very burning problems of our history, latest events and forecasts for future. They also touch upon cultural, sport news. I like the way they present different points of view, approaches to the problems. My parents and I subscribe to some periodicals, so we are subscribers. We buy some of newspapers and magazines in a kiosk. I often listen to radio, especially in the morning before I leave for school. I prefer to listen to «Mayak» («Lighthouse») programm. They broadcast much news and music. I like to listen to weekend programmes, some of them are very amusing and entertaining. As to the TV, we have 24 channels. I prefer to watch youth programmes. In addition I like to see interesting films. They might be feature, adventure, scientific, horror, cartoon and other films. I enjoy seeing Walt Disney’s cartoons. Movies Affect People
Movies are popular because people are great watchers. They like to watch other peoples’ lives. They like to live vicariously. By going to movies, we can escape our own lives, share other people’s emotions, and imagine ourselves as someone else.
Many of our lives are not as adventurous or glamorous as the lives in movies. We do not battle evil all day long and then go back to our luxurious penthouse apartment. We just go to school, do our homework, eat, talk to our friends, and sleep. We need a little excitement in our lives and we find excitement at the movies.
Humans are very emotional people. We all like to cry and laugh. Fortunately, there is not much to cry about in my life so I like to go to sad movies where my heartstrings can be tugged. I also like to go to comedies so that I can laugh. I tend to cry and laugh more in a dark movie theater than I do in broad daylight.
Now I am a student, but I know someday I will be a scientist or a politician or a famous model. When I go to the movies, I can see my role models. I see how they act, what they wear, how they talk. I can prepare myself for the day when I will be like them.
Even though my life is quiet, I can go to the movies and watch someone else’s life. I can share their emotions and their everyday life. I wonder if they would like to share mine.

Every day we need some information. It may be information of all kinds: about sport, about study, about health. There are many ways to recieve any information you need: from newspapers and magazines, TV and radio programmes. Of course, radio is less popular than newspapers or TV. As for me I listen to the radio only in a car and in a bus, I don’t listen to the radio at school or at home except the time when I do my homework. But very seldom, because I have Internet and I prefer listening some music and news using it not radio. Of course, I know some radio stations such as "Mayak", "Russain Radio" and "Eho Moskvy" (Эхо Москвы - название передач не переводится на иностранный язык) and my favorite radio programme is "Virgin" because they play rock and popular music 24 hours a day.

It’s impossible to imagine our life without mass media. TV, radio, newspapers, magazines are everywhere. Around us all the time, they have a strong influence on our mood, feelings, ideas, attitudes to life and politics. But the mass media offer both advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, we always get the latest news, to say nothing of the fact that we can get everything we want from the internet in a few minutes. Secondly, weather forecasts can warn of different natural disasters; so the mass media help people to avoid harm and losses. Then, there is the possibility of having a good time: it’s wonderful to relax sitting in an armchair in front of the screen or reading some newspapers. Nowadays, lots of entertaining, female, musical and fashion magazines, and different TV and radio programs, help us to relax. But there are some drawbacks of the mass media. Sometimes I look at various newspapers and magazines, watch TV-news, and I suppose the main disadvantage of them is the amount of negative information they portray. Watching the news we learn primarily about wars, crimes, disasters and accidents. I find gossip another minus of the mass media. To cut a long story short, all the negative and false information can cause stress and a bad mood. And finally, TV and computers have a harmful effect on people. The majority of teenagers don’t read books and never visit theatres. I want to add that TV and computers can spoil one’s health.
