We all need exercise. This is true for young people as well as for adults. Even if you don’t plan make sports your main occupation. This is my opinion and I feel like it is true.
As long as I can remember myself I was always keen on tennis. I love this sport with its old noble traditions, though myself never dreamed of becoming anything more than an amateur.
I watch closely all tennis competitions and championships. There are a lot of them, but my favorite championship is Wimbledon because old tennis traditions remains there as they are.
Some of the most well-known Wimbledon champions are: John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles. My dream is to get a chance to watch at least one of them playing.
And meantime I play tennis with my friends. It is also a great opportunity to socialize with people who have similar interest.

There are many local performers, choirs and folk groups in Russia; but perhaps the most famous singer is Nadezhda Babkina. Folk songs are very tuneful and pleasant to listen to. Classical music is often associated with the music of the past. However, this style also includes music being written now, and we may speak of modern classical music. Rap is a modern musical style where the singer speaks or shouts the words in time to music with a steady beat. Such groups as Public Enemy or House of Pain are leaders in this style. Great Britain has produced more popular music stars than any other country. Over the last 30 years rock and pop music have been very popular in Britain. The Beatles, with their style of singing, eloquent and exciting, is still one of the most popular groups. British groups often set new trends in music. New styles, groups and singers continue to appear. Some of the more recent pop groups are Dire Straits, Eurhythmics and Spice Girls. Many of the new bands have been able to use the changes in technology to develop their music. Computerized drum machines, synthesizers and other electronic instruments are now just as popular as the piano and electric guitars. Tastes differ. So people’s musical interests range from pop and rock music, which are extremely popular nowadays, especially among young people, to classical music and opera.

My hobby is music. Like anyone who enjoys music, I have my favorite band. For me it Skilet. It is a rock band from the city Memfys founded in 1996. At the moment it has 13 albums. The founder of the group is the bass guitarist John Cooper. Why I like this music group? Because I like genre work of its members, like their voice and the pace at which they sing. Also plays a small role or the content of their songs. In my opinion, shall all their songs are full of interesting content, that is nice to listen to. My favorite song of this group Komatoz.
I like rock, heavy metal and gothic metal music. My favorite music band is Within Temtation.

As the years passed I changed my mind a lot of times about what science or field of industry to specialize in. It’s difficult to make up my mind and choose one of the hundreds jobs to which I might be better suited. A couple of years ago I wanted to become a doctor, you know I wanted to help people who had problems with health. Then I wanted to become a policeman, then a spaceman, I even wanted to become a professional football player. But all of them now are in the past; they were just like children’s dreams and nothing more. Now I have already decided what to do. I’d like to become an aviator. I know that it’s very difficult. I should know perfectly well everything about the planes, airports, weather and other things. You know that the weather is a very important thing for the flights too. I must be well educated and well informed. So that’s why at first I am going to enter the Aviation University in Moscow, then when I finish studying I’ll go to my city to try to get a job for the air company. You know may be something will be not OK, because I don’t know what may happen tomorrow, but I know that I’ll do everything to realize my plans and dreams. I also want to say that the profession should be chosen according to the character and hobbies of the person. That’s why parents mustn’t make their children choose the things they themselves like. Children must do it themselves. Because they must love the things they do, believe that people need them and then their work will bring them more pleasure.

The old man was glad to pass his experience to the boy. He looked forward to going to the sea together with the boy. All Santiago’s life had been in preparation for the battle with big fish. Though the sharks had eaten the fish and nothing had left but the backbone, the old man had morally won the battle. Santiago’s words "man can be destroyed but not defeated" are the main idea of this story. Defoe shows the development of his hero. At the beginning of the story we see an inexperienced youth, a rather frivolous boy, who then becomes a strong-willed man.

He had confidence in himself and in man. He believed it was within the power of man to overcome all difficulties. Crusoe was an enthusiastic worker and always hoped for the best.
Defoe is a writer of the Enlightenment. He teaches people how to live, he tries to teach what’s good and what’s bad. His novel "Robinson Crusoe" is not only a work of fiction, an account of adventures, a biography and an educational pamphlet.
It is a study of man, a great work showing man in relation to nature and civilization as well as in relation to labour and private property.

Yesterday I watched a great cartoon "Hakuna Mathata". I liked it very much. It became one of my favorite cartoons. I watched it because this film gave much fun to people of different characters. That’s why I like it very much. The person who directed the film is Bradley Raymond. The leading actors who gave their voices to the cartoon are Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella, Julie Kavner, Jerry Stiller, Mathew Broderick, Moira Kelly and Whoopi Goldberg. There weren’t any special effects in the cartoon but the soundtracks were awesome. This cartoon is about a friendship between 3 personages – Timon, Pumba, and Simba. They are in Africa. Timon was exiled from his tribe. He met a monkey who told him about a special place "Hakuna Mathata". The Monkey said that "Hakuna Mathata" meant "No problem". When Timon was looking for this place he met Pumba and they became friends till the end of the cartoon. I recommend this film. You should see it, because it is good for people of different ages and characters and I am sure you will like it.

TV Program
The most popular entertainment in our home life is television. We have a choice between five channels ORT, RTR and 3 commercial channels. There is also a cable TV station in our town. Television plays an important role in our life. It informs people about current events both national and international, the latest achievements in science and culture, and offers some programs, which are both interesting and stimulating. Every day we can see different tips of programs on TV. News is broadcast at regular intervals. They also present operas, ballets, music concerts and various shows. Broadcast for schools are produced on five days of the week, during school hours.
In the late afternoon and early evening TV channels showed special programs for children. In the evenings and at weekends there are broadcasts of sports events. A large time of TV evening’s time is occupied by films and serials, but as for me I like quizzes. A quizzes–program is a question and an answer competition which offers money and other prizes and to the winners. Such programs as “Wonders field”, “Brain ring”, What, Where, When”, “Guess the melody” are me favorite ones, because they are both informative and interesting. But best of all I like the programs of “Travels club”, because it gives me a chance to travel of other the world with out living home.
