My winter vacation passed wonderfully. This year heavy snow covered the ground, so there was no time to get bored. Together with friends we drove in a sleigh, made snowmen, played snowballs and just had fun. In the evening I watched TV, talked on the phone with friends and occasionally played on the computer. The second week my family took me to a winter resort. I don’t ski very well, so it was hard in the beginning to learn how to ski down mountain slopes. But the next day, I learned to keep balance and fell to the ground only a few times. At a ski resort we spent 4 days. During this period I managed to make friends and girlfriends, with whom now I keep in touch and correspond through the internet. We hope to see one another again at the same place next year. By the end of winter break my spirits fell. Suddenly it came in on me that I had not done some homework. But still there were a couple of days left, and I had time to do the tasks before the beginning of classes. How quickly vacations end! And how long a school year lasts!

My timetable changes much when I have vacations. The main thing that changes is that I do not have classes, and usually on holidays the out-of-school sections also give children a break. So I wake up much later, than usually – about 8.30 a. m. I have breakfast watching TV and eating very slowly. Than I can call a friend and go to the cinema – on vacations cinemas always offer very cheap tickets in the mornings or in the midday. After cinema - about 1 p. m. my friends and I usually spend few hours together walking in the park or going to a café, or a bookstore. As my parents are working, I do not have to be home to some exact time for dinner, but about 3 p. m. I usually feel I have to eat something. Sometimes we go to visit each other, and in such days we play videogames or table games, or spend time in front of the computer. Also on vacations I’ve got time to read what I like, not only what I need for school. Sometimes my parents give me some tasks, so I help them. Also I can visit my grandparents and even stay overnight. On vacations we have dinner at 7 p. m., as usual, but I go to bed much, much later - about midnight.

My winter holidays.
These winter holidays I spent in the village. My friends the whole day walking, we rode the slide and played in the snow. After the walk I went home. Home waiting for me Grandma. My winter holidays were fantastic! I spent them whith my friends and family. Every day I went for a walk. We played snowbals, made snowman, laughted. We had a family dinner. All our familys friends came to this dinner. It was cool. We danced, played in different games like "Uno","Twister". I liked this holidays.
My winter holidays were very good and interesting. At first, I went to Moscow to my friends with whom I celebrated the New year. I ate so many delicious dishes on new year’s day. I together with my family and friends went to launch fireworks after the new year chimes. On 1 January we went to the shops and bought presents. I also went to the Imax movie on the film Star wars: the force awakening. It was cool! I liked this film. I was walking with friends in the remaining part of the winter holidays. I read the books. Also I was preparing for the new school semester. I’m happy with my new year’s holiday!

Я дуже люблю зимові канікули. Хоч вони й значно коротші за літні, зате завжди проходять весело та яскраво. Все тому, що на зимові канікули припадають мої улюблені свята – Новий рік та Різдво. Усі два тижні відпочинку від занять панує святкова атмосфера.
Зазвичай я проводжу зимові канікули вдома, тому що на свята до нас приїжджають бабуся та дідусь або інші родичі. Ми всі разом готуємося до святкування – прикрашаємо дім та готуємо смачні страви. А потім усією родиною зустрічаємо Новий рік, зазвичай не спимо всю ніч.
Та цього року я сподіваюся, що мені вдасться побувати у Карпатах. Це моя давня мрія – провести зимові канікули на гірськолижному курорті, покататися на лижах, побачити на власні очі красу гір узимку.
Зимові канікули дають змогу перепочити від навчання, поспілкуватися з близьким та присвятити час улюбленим заняттям. Взимку, коли надворі морозно, я люблю посидіти з книгою біля вікна та послухати музику. А коли випадає сніг, то я йду гуляти на вулицю. Усе навколо біле, здається, що ти потрапив у якийсь інший вимір. Так гарно навкруги! Можна покататися на ковзанках чи злетіти на санках з гірки, або навіть пограти в сніжки та зробити снігову бабу. Це завжди весело для усіх – і дітей, і дорослих.
Зимові канікули – чудова пора. Шкода, що вони швидко закінчуються, і ми знову маємо повертатися до школи. Але яскраві враження від добре проведеного часу допомагають у нелегкій справі навчання. Обычно я провожу зимние каникулы дома, потому что на праздники к нам приезжают бабушка и дедушка или другие родственники. Мы все вместе готовимся к празднованию - украшаем дом и готовим вкусные блюда. А потом всей семьей встречаем Новый год, обычно не спим всю ночь.
