How I spent my winter vacation. These winter holidays I spent in the city. Vacation began a few days before the New year, and it seemed to me that they will last a very long time. Before the New year there is a lot of snow, which gave the winter, especially with a fabulous view. New year we meet together as a family. And although I do not believe in fairy tales, I wanted a miracle or magic. And so it happened!

She was born on the 25th of January. Together with my dad we make her day special. We normally buy a bunch of flowers, many balloons and a birthday cake for her.

Most people like to leave their places on holidays. Some prefer a quite rest in the country or at their dachas. Others go to the seaside and enjoy swimming and sunbathing on the golden beaches of the South. A lot of people are crazy about travelling and feel great visiting new places, getting more impressions and knowledge about them.
As for me, I prefer going to the country on holidays. Almost every summer I visit my grandparents there. This summer was not an exception. In June I stayed in the country for about a month. There I enjoyed fresh air, pleasant views of the surrounding nature. I helped my grandma and grandpa about home and in the garden. I watered plants and weeded the garden, mowed the long grass.
Besides my grandparents, I have some friends in the country. This summer we went fishing and camping together. It was fun to play ball on the grass! Also we liked lying in the sun and bathing in the river. In the evening we went boating on the lake. We went to the forest and gathered raspberries. It was a real pleasure to stay out of town!
In July I went abroad, namely, to Finland with my parents and a little sister. We were touring by car around the country, so we could see a lot of new places. I had a good time in this country!
In August I stayed in the town reading books, playing football with my friends and preparing for school.
So, I spent my holidays very well and had a good rest!
Winter holidays begin at the end of December and end in January. We go not go to school at that time. The weather is good. Sometimes it snows but we like it. We celebrate New Year’s Day during the holidays, go to the cinema and see interesting films.

Here so I have spent winter vacation which though not such long as summer, but saturated and interesting. So now it is necessary to have patience and to wait for spring and summer.

Почему я сразу подумала настоящий, потому что в последний раз это был неудачно переодетый папа. Все оказалось проще, чем могло бы быть. Дедом Морозом и Снегурочкой оказались актеры, которые ошиблись квартирой, но волшебную конфетку я всё же получила.
Первые январские дни зимних каникул оказались солнечными и очень морозными. В эти дни было здорово гулять на улице и играть в различные зимние игры-забавы. Правда, слепить снеговика не удалось, потому что в такие морозы снег оказался сыпучим и совсем не липким. После таких веселых прогулок, особенно, было приятно оказаться дома, где меня ждал горячий мамин обед. А вечерами мы с папой читали книги и играли в настольные игры, что оказалось намного интересней компьютера.
В один из дней зимних каникул мы всей семьей побывали в цирке. Если честно, мне не очень понравилось, потому что стало жалко животных. В другой день вместе с мамой ходили в театр на спектакль для школьников, он оказался очень интересным и совсем нескучным. Вот так я провела зимние каникулы, которые хоть и не такие долгие, как летние, но насыщенные и интересные. Так что теперь остается набраться терпения и ждать весны и лета.

By the end of winter break my spirits fell. Suddenly it came in on me that I had not done some homework. But still there were a couple of days left, and I had time to do the tasks before the beginning of classes. How quickly vacations end! And how long a school year lasts!
