Nearly everyone needs some time for relaxing and doing what he or she likes. Hobbies or leisure time activities are perfect for that. Unfortunately, I don’t have much free time during the week, but when I do I try to spend it most usefully. My hobbies are tennis and swimming. Twice a week I go to the nearest indoor swimming-pool. In summer, I can swim with my friends at the lake, although the water is rather chilly in it. Speaking of tennis, I attend regular training since I’ve been seven. I have a talented coach who tells me I can be rather successful in tennis when I’m older. I especially like training at the outdoor court. One of my friends is also fond of tennis, so he joined me a year ago. Other than that, when I have free time I invite my friends over. We can play board games or have a pizza together. I’m always happy to have them around. On Friday night my parents take me and my younger sister to some restaurant. Last week, for example, we were at the Chinese place, where we ate noodles and fortune cookies. At weekends we visit some of our relatives and spend time with them. My uncle has two sons, who are a good company for me to play different games. My aunt has a three-year-old daughter and we sometimes babysit her. My leisure time somehow depends on the time of the year. For example, in summer I like attending the city museums and galleries. When we go to the seaside, of course, I spend most of the time swimming and playing beach basketball. In winter I prefer sledding and skiing with my classmates. From time to time, I go fishing with my father and uncle. It’s also one of my favorite pastimes. All in all, I’d like to say that people should have leisure time. Otherwise life would be boring. Every person needs some free time, be it a kid or an adult. Most schoolchildren and employees usually rest at weekend. This is the best time for relaxing and doing what you like. Evenings of weekdays also offer some free time.
When I get back from school, I eat something quick and do my homework. After that I’m free to meet up with friends, to play computer games or to draw, which is my hobby. Sometimes, I play volleyball or other active games with my friends at the school playground. In summertime I also like playing ping-pong and I’m rather good at it. Weekends are a bit different.
My parents usually give me some pocket money each week. I try to spend them reasonably. During the week I pay for lunch at the school canteen. Sometimes I need to buy some stationery.
At weekends I go out with my friends. Sometimes we go to the cinema, sometimes to the pizza place. However, my favorite pastime at weekends is bowling. I like this game. I think it is not only entertaining but also social. Bowling unites like-minded people and gives a chance to communicate with good friends, instead of sitting in front of the computer.
I don’t mind computer games, but they can get addictive and certainly spending long hours in front of the screen is not healthy. It influences eyesight and brain activity. I keep in touch with some friends through social networks or chats, but I understand that real life communication is much better. Apart from seeing friends, I spend my free time with my family members and relatives, especially on special occasions. On birthdays, anniversaries, public holidays we have family gatherings at my grandma’s place.

Each person has his hobby and as a matter of fact little free time to do something we like doing most of all. I also have many hobbies. As I am a pupil I haven’t got much free time during the school days. And I study in Russian school so I’ve got only one day off. It’s Sunday.
In my free time I usually hang out with my friends or surf the Net. If it is summer I don’t use the computer much and have a great time outside. But in autumn, winter and spring I have to use computer more because sometimes wecan’t do our homework without using the Internet. And I usually chat with my friends because I don’t see some of them for a long time.
On Saturdays or Sundays I usually help my mum with the housework, watch TV, meet my friends and often play the guitar because I’m mad about music.
But sometimes if the school days were busy and I had to study much harder I simply relax. I think we must do something interesting in our free time because we become borried and tired after doing homework and studying so hard.
I usually have my free time after I finished all my homework. During that time I usually go for a walk if it still sunny outside. In the evenings I like to watch TV with my family. In my free time I join my friend and we go for a walk or go to the cinema. Sometimes we play sport games together or go travelling. Usually I am very busy during the week and I have very little time to rest. Nevertheless I try to do all my homework on Saturday and to rest on Sunday. On Sunday I wake up rather late, at 10 or 11 o’clock as I get very tired during the week. After I wake up I like to lie in bed and read some magazine or watch TV. Then I get up, have a shower or take a bath. I really like to take a bath and relax on Sunday. Sunday is usually the day when I clean my apartment and help my mother with her housework. My family is very friendly, that’s why in the afternoon we often go out of twon for barbecue or to our dacha. My father, my brother and I like to play football or volleyball in the country. Sometimes my mother and I go shopping on weekends. I advise her what clothes or shoes to buy and she sometimes gives me advice too. In the evening I also like go jogging, but I don’t do it very often because I also like to chat with my friends, to surf the net or to go out. A day off usually I saturated with all kinds of things, but if it is free, I will dedicate it to likely shopping. If the time allows me to have available two or more hours a day, I will think about how to walk in the fresh air with your baby, or would you prefer to go to the pool to swim a little tired.
