  Dear friend,
  I have just arrived on a new planet and want to talk some about my empression. Firstly, you need to know that this planet is very beautiful and it is very different from the Earth. It has green water instead of blue, and grass is red. My journey goes very good, it’s a lot of interesting things here. I’m going to return home in a month. Also, there are very kind and smart people on this planet. They told me some cool facts about their home and even talked to me about some secrets of this place. Well, at the moment i feel peaceful. This journey gives me as much of good emotions as i can’t write you about how i am happy. But on the other hand, i miss my home - the Earth.

New Year - a holiday celebrated by many peoples in accordance with the calendar, coming at the time of transition from the last day of the year on the first day of next year. The custom of celebrating the New Year already existed in ancient Mesopotamia in the third millennium BC. Beginning of the year from January 1, it was established by the Roman ruler Julius Caesar in 46 BC. In ancient Rome, this day was dedicated to Janus - the god of choice, and all the doors started. С приближением нового года 2014 люди начинают задумываться, где и как провести его, чтобы праздник получился необычным и незабываемым, о котором можно было бы с удовольствием вспоминать целый год. Для состоятельных людей модным и интересным считается празднование нового года за границей. Особенно интересно и полезно провести Новый год в Англии. Хотя это, конечно, будет не совсем Новый год в российском понимании. Это будет скорее продолжение рождества или можно еще сказать праздники для тех, кто еще не устал праздновать и веселиться. Украшения, подарки и атмосфера таинственности в Англии достигает своего пика на рождество. Ведь именно этот праздник для англичан имеет большое значение. Говоря про английский Новый год, можно смело описывать некоторые российские традиции. Например, шумная веселая компания друзей, новогодний бой часов, генеральная уборка дома, нарядная елка. Все это характерно для английского нового года. А значит встречать Новый год по-английски вполне возможно. У англичан еще есть дополнительные и довольно интересные новогодние традиции. Когда начинается бой часов, английское население открывает настежь входные  двери, причем все: и парадную, и заднюю. Таким образом англичане выгоняют все негативные энергии, скопившиеся за прошедший год, и запускают светлое, позитивное с приходом нового года. В Англии еще большое значение придается такому обычаю, как «первый человек в новом году». Кого первого  вы увидите в первое утро нового года, таким и будет ваш наступивший год. Считается очень хорошим признаком, если этот первый гость принесет уголек или чистую воду вам в подарок.   Кстати, в России  эта английская традиция имеет определенную известность. А еще один из самых приятных атрибутов нового года – новогодние поздравительные открытки родом из Англии. А в России эта традиция стала одной из самых любимых и необходимых. Правда, традиционный новогодний стол в России и Англии значительно разнятся. Хотя если сравнивать английское рождество и российский Новый год, получим примерно тоже самое. Я очень люблю Новый год! Я жду его с того момента как только он закончится. Я люблю получать и дарить подарки. К тому же зимой очень красиво! Везде пахнет ёлками, в магазинах продают блестящие, красочные игрушки. Под ногами проваливается белый пушистый снежок, и пахнет ммм так свежо! Я очень сильно люблю Новый год и зиму!

In Scotland, the New Year’s Eve celebration is called Hogmanay which means ’new morning’ in Celtic. It is surely the most exciting celebration of the year.
Preparations for the celebration start early on December 31st. people clean their housesand throw out unwanted things. They bake a special fruit cake called ’Black Bun’ and a lot of shortbread biscuits.
On the night of Hogmanay there are live concerts and fabulous carnivals in the streets of Scottish towns. A lot of excited people get dressed up in colourful costumes. In some cities  there are also a long torchlight procession through the streets that crowds watch excitedly. As soon as the bells chime twelve, everyone kisses and heartily wishes each other a Happy New Year. Then people join hands and proudly sing song ’Auld Lang Syne’. After that, there is a stunning fireworks display which is the icing on the cake. On 1st January people visit their friends and neighbours to wish them luck for the New Year.

New Year’s is the funniest and the most magical holiday of the year. I always wait for it, because this night something mysterious happens. One New Year’s Eve my parents and I went to a huge town square, where there was a large beautiful New Year tree. There were many people, all were laughing and having fun. In the middle of the square there was a tall ice hill and all the kids rode down​​. I also wanted to ride, but my mother was very afraid and would not let me ride. Then I asked my dad give me a ride. It was great! There were many little children around and my huge dad with me in his arms. Mom laughed louder than anybody else.
Новый год самый веселый и волшебный праздник. Я всегда очень жду его, потому что в эту ночь всегда происходит что-нибудь интересное и загадочное. Однажды в новогоднюю ночь мы с родителями ходили на огромную городскую площадь, где стояла большая и очень красивая елка. Там было много народу, все смеялись и веселились. Посередине площади стояла высокая ледяная горка, и все дети катались с нее вниз. Я тоже хотел прокатиться, но мама очень боялась и не разрешала мне прокатиться. Тогда я попросил папу прокатить меня. Было так весело, вокруг маленькие дети и мой огромный папа со мною на руках. Мама смеялась громче всех.

New year is a really wonderful holiday. People get ready for this holday long before it. They buy New Year trees and decorate them. Every year a fairy - tale comes to every house and every family on New Year's eve. Children and even grown-ups wait for this holiday because they belive that all their wishes and desires will come true and different wonderful miracles happen on that day.
On new year's eve people get together to see "the old year out and new year in". They eat tasty food, drink champange, dance and have a good time together. They wish each other happiness and good luck in the new year and poot the presents under the fir tree. Children like this holiday very much. They wait for new year presents, which, the belive Father Frost brings to them. Everybody is merry on that day and wishes the next year to be good and all one's troubles and disappointments to remain in the past.
Новый год - действительно чудесный праздник. Люди подготавливаются к нему задолго, до наступления праздника. Они покупают новогодние деревья (или просто ёлки) и украшают их. Каждый год сказка приходит в каждый дом и семью. Дети и, даже взрослые ждут этого праздника, потому что они верят, что все их мечты и пожелания сбудутся и чудеса будут происходить в тот день.
Накануне Нового года люди собираются вместе, чтобы "проводить уходящий год и отметить наступление нового". Они едят вкусную еду, пьют шампанское и хорошо проводят вместе время. Люди желают друг-другу счастья и удачи в новом году и кладут подарки под ёлку. Дети очень любят этот праздник. Все счастливы в этот день и хотят (желают, мечтают), чтобы следующий год был удачным и все неудачи и разочарования остались в прошлом.

Так начнём.

                                                         " Розовый единорог"

Сегодня я расскажу вам о - "Розовом единороге". Это необыкновенное животное. Оно живёт в раю, там где всё очень хорошо, и нет хлопот. Это самое необыкновенное животное очень - красивое, у него есть крылья, один рог - словом - это чудесное животное. Каждый из вас хотелбы прокатиться на этом чудном звере. А как с высока приятно смотреть на окружающий мир. Когда я читаю или пишу этот текст - я чувчтвую себя раслабленной и как мне кажеться вы тоже. Розовые цвет - потому что этот цвет очень спокойный и проникновенный! Вот и кончилася мой рассказ.

There are a lot of holidays during the year. Some of them are national, some of them are private or religious but one holiday is celebrated all over the world. It is New Year. This holiday can be called international as each person on our planet enjoys celebrating it.

New Year is a magical time when all the miracles seem to come true. People have a great opportunity to look at their deeds and events during the previous year in order to decide what to do further. All of us are full of hope and joy. We are eager to believe that the New Year is able to be much better. We hope that it brings only the Good and this thought makes us happy.

Before New Year people usually draw the line of theirs aims and plans. They try to finish all incomplete duties and solve all the problems in order to leave all negative things in the past. People decorate theirs houses with bright and sparkling New Years tree. Children write long letter to Santa Claus with all their wishes. Mothers and wives cook special tasty New Years dinner. It is the great moment to spend all the time with people you love.

Each nation has its own rituals concerning New Year celebration like for example, Italians who throw away all the unnecessary things. But in spite of all national differences each of us hopes for better life and optimistic future. We are all the same whispering our devout desires as the clock strikes 12 times.

I spent my last winter holidays in Thailand and there I celebrated New Year. It was’t so great to celebrate New Year in a warm country, because you can’t fill a New Year spirit if you are not in cold climate. It just not so fun. But on the contrary, we should celebrate this great holiday in different ways. So, I was happy to get the presents from my parents. After we met a New Year we rung to the water and began swimming in the sea. It was exciting, because in Russia, with it’s cold climate I can’t let myself to do it. It’s fun to celebrate New Year in warm countries, but I prefer the cold ones.
