In Italy, the New Year begins on the sixth of January. According to legends, on a magic broom Fairy Befana flies good that night. It opens the door to the little golden key, and went into the room where children sleep, fills the children’s stockings with gifts, especially hanging from the fireplace. Those who went bad or naughty, Befana leaves a pinch of ashes or ember.
Italian Santa Claus - Babbo Natale. In Italy, it is believed that the New Year should start, free from all the old. Therefore I decided to throw out of the windows of the old things in the New Year’s Eve. Italians enjoy this custom, and they play it their passion inherent southerners: fly through the window old irons, chairs and other stuff. According to the signs, the space is sure to take new things.
В Италии Новый год начинается шестого января. Согласно поверьям, в эту ночь на волшебной метле прилетает добрая Фея Бефана. Она открывает двери маленьким золотым ключиком и, войдя в комнату, где спят дети, наполняет подарками детские чулки, специально подвешенные к камину. Тому, кто плохо учился или шалил, Бефана оставляет щепотку золы или уголек.
Итальянский Дед Мороз - Баббо Натале. В Италии считается, что Новый год надо начинать, освободившись от всего старого. Поэтому в Новогоднюю ночь принято выбрасывать из окон старые вещи. Итальянцам этот обычай очень нравится, и они исполняют его свой страстью, свойственной южанам: в окно летят старые утюги, стулья и прочий хлам. Согласно приметам, освободившееся место непременно займут новые вещи.

Новый год в Москве. Москва замечательный город, который является столицей России. В новогоднюю ночь я со своей семьёй пошла на Красную площадь. Там было много развлекательных игр, песен и так далее. Я постаралась поиграть от души и у меня это получилось после того как я наигралась я пошла в Московское кафе, там была очень красивая ёлочка

The New year is my favorite holiday. My father and I decorate a New Year tree. My mother is always busy in the kitchen. She cooks different tasty dishes for the dinner. We prepare for this holiday beforehand. We buy present and then put them under the New year tree. We send greeting cards to our friends and relatives and invite them to our new year party. At midnight when the Kremlin chiming clock strikes twelve times we congratulate each other. Then we watch a holiday programs on TV, and go to bed only in the morning.

Frankly speaking, Christmas is one of my favorite winter holidays! This year I spent it with my family. My brother was responsible for adornments. My sister was asked to find a great venue. And I was expected to find some new recipes for the unique Christmas dishes. So I started to look for some unusual ideas related to the Christmas celebration. However, it was not so simple as it seemed at first. I must admit, that I got really confused while trying to make it come true. As a result, I had no ideas about Christmas menu at the morning of Christmas Day. Therefore, my mum got completely cross with me! Fortunately, I remembered about my classmade Nick, who was really good at cooking and learning foreign national dishes. He helped me with the Christmas preparation and tought all the unique resepies of some tasty dishes. Another part of the day I spent with my family. The venue and adornments were really inconceivable! We enjoied playing games, watcching TV and telling Christmas stories. All the family approved the Christmas venue, I was so pleased! That certainly was the best Christmas celebration ever

New Year is an international holiday, but in every country it is celebrated in many different ways (разными способами) and each family has their own traditions. For example, in Australia, people celebrate the New Year on the beach or go on picnics with friends. In Italy, the New Year begins on January 6. Here people believe in the good fairy Befana, who gives stars and gifts for everyone. In Israel, people at on the New Year eat only sweets and avoid bitter (горький) food. In Spain on this day there is a tradition to swallow (глотать) one grape (виноград) for every time the bell chimes (звон курантов) and make a wish. On New Year my family and I decorate the house and the Christmas tree and give each other gifts, wishing success (успех) in the New Year. New Year’s Eve is my favorite holiday and I always look forward (ждать с нетерпением) to it.

Новый Год это замечательный праздник, везде взрывают фейерверки, едят мандарины и оливье. Наряженная Ёлка стоит в уголке и сверкает гирляндами. Все ждут курантов, чтобы начать веселиться до утра. Вот президент сказал красивую речь, про старый год и пожелает всего доброго в новом году. Я жду Нового Года потому что это добрый, красивый и замечательный праздник.
