Northern Ireland is the smallest part of the UK. "Ulster" is sometimes used as equivalent to Northern Ireland because it contains six counties of the historic province of Ulster. Eire [’ɛərə] is a poetic name for the whole Ireland (Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland). Ireland is often called "the Emerald Isle". In this name its lush greenery is reflected. Thanks to the winds that blow from the Atlantic Ocean the soil and the air are warm and damp. That is why fresh green grass coveres the ground in Ireland and it makes the island look so beautiful. Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. It is a great industrial centre and a large port. For seven centuries Ireland was a colony of Britain. Historically the hatred between colonised people of Ireland and their colonisers was underlined by the difference in their religions. Northern Ireland is known for its long-lasting political conflict between Catholics andProtestants. Nationalists, who are mainly Catholic, want Nothern Ireland to be unified with the Republic of Ireland and Unionists, who are mainly Protestant- want it to remain part of the United Kingdom. The Irish flag dates from the 1800s. The colours have a symbolic meaning. Green represents the Roman Catholics of Ireland, orange the Protestants of Ulster and white represents peace. The shamrock and the red hand are the national symbols of Northern Ireland. The shamrock is said to be connected to St. Patrick, Ireland’s Patron Saint. Irish people wear this symbol on the National Day on March 17th. This celebration is called St. Patrick’s Day. The name of St. Patric is surrounded by a rich tradition of oral legends and myths most of which has been exaggerated over the centuries. It is so because inventing exciting tales as a way to remember history has always been a part of Irish culture. Some of these legends say that Patrick raised people from the dead.

Тока сам переводи, я на русском написала: мы с семьей любим холить в магазин, у нас напротив дома есть большой супер маркет, вот туда мы обычно ходим. В магазине мы обычно покупаем хлеб, молоко, сыр, колбасу и приправы. Но иногда мы закупаемся, и покупаем шоколад, конфеты, колу, пиццу и многое другое, я обажаю с семьей ходить в магазин!

У меня очень большая семья. В нашей семье есть папа, мама, бабушка, дедушка и младшая сестра. Наша семья очень дружная и крепкая. Мы все живем в одном большом доме. Папа много работает, а мама приберает дома. Дедушка и бабушка часто помогают мне с уроками. Моя младшая сестра пока что ходит в детский сад. Я очень люблю свою семью!
I have got a big family. In my family has a father, mother, grandfather, grandmother and myyonger sister. My family is very friendly and strong. We  live in a big house. Dad works a lot, and my mom cleans house. Grandparents often help me with homework. My younger sister until that goes to kindergarten. I love my family!

Hi, my name is Anastasya. I live in Russia and I think I have a typical family.
1. My family has four people: mother, father me and my small brother. It’s not a big family I think and I would like to have a sister as well. 
2. We all live in a flat. The flat has 3 rooms I think it’s quite big because flats of my friends usually have 2 just rooms. 
3. My parents always work. My mother is an accountant and my father is an engineer. Mom usually gets her papers to the home and continues working there. My dad never brought his work to the home. They both have good salary but usually salaries are not quite good here.

5. Usually people in Russia are not very fair.  There were a lot of prisons and mainly people behave like they just left prisons. I was quite lucky about this and my parents are very fair and never steal. (Хотя не думаю, что вообще такое можно включать в рассказ)
6. Average salary in Russia is about $500USD My parent get much more so we can afford two cars and a lot of traveling. We all like traveling.
7. When I graduate at the University I will leave my parents’ flat and will rent my own. I guess I will be about 22 years old at that time. My dad promised to help me to get a job in his company and I hope it will work because he is working in the best company in the world.
8. Our family does not have any slogan, but if it had it would be "explore the world"  I think or " never stay on the same place"
I love my family and I love my country.

Моя семья состоит из трех человек: мама, папа и я. Мама высокая с длинными с темными волосами ей 38 лет. Папа тоже высокий с темными волосами и голубыми глазами, ему 40 лет. Они очень добрые и хорошие родители. Я люблю и ценю свою семью. My family consists of three members: mom, dad and me. Mom high with long dark hair with her for 38 years. Our family has a tradition: we are preparing for an unusual weekend lunch. My mom always is specialized in fish: she bakes it makes minced fish or soup. My dad cooks meats: lamb, pork or chicken. And I with my older sister always bake something sweet: apple pie with apples, pies with cherry jam or pound cake. When the weekend comes to us grandmother, she loves to cook jelly or homemade sausages. I love how she cooks because it natural and delicious. But such an unusual weekend dinners do not always turn out, because my dad every month goes on a business trip for important negotiations and there is sometimes delayed for one to two weeks.
