Legends from time immemorial tried to explain the name of the ancient Zvenigorod: talked about bell ringing ( because the city arms is a famous cloister bell, cast in 1667), that he first met the enemy raids and ringing warned Moscow of the danger. Actually founded Zvenigorod Slavs, who came from Kiev and Galich, in the XI century built in the South of the two cities with the same name. The oldest of them stood at the banks of the river. In her noise the hearing of our ancestors could catch the tinkling of bells. Can be in the name of Zvenigorod near Moscow sounds of the gentle murmur of the Moscow river. Not without reason, Zvenigorod consider it a coeval of Moscow. But his initial story was lost in the dark ages and was not marked by the extant Chronicles. In documents the city is first mentioned in the time when it became the centre of a large inheritance, a part of Moscow Principality. To the XI-XII centuries the Slavs already densely populated valley of the Moscow river. After the peasants of the earth "mastered" the feudal lords. On the occupied territories of the princes needed the support points, guards, gatherers of tribute. So there Zvenigorod. The center of the ancient settlement became the Kremlin on the Western outskirts of the present city. Zvenigorodsky long call this place a Town. A high hill with steep slopes on three sides by deep ravines, with a fourth bordering the Moscow river waters. The upper area of the Town dominates the surrounding area at 24 meters. In the middle of the XII century Zvenigorod was a stronghold in the North-Eastern.

Nizhny Novgorod is the fourth largest city in Russia, ranking after Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Novosibirsk. It is the economic and cultural center of the vast Volga-Vyatka economic region, and also the administrative center of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Volga Federal District.
From 1932 to 1990, the city was known as Gorky after the writer Maxim Gorky who was born there.
The city is an important economic, transport and cultural center of the Russian Federation.
After the destruction of the Mordvin Inazor Obram administrative centre and fillfort named Obran Osh (Ashli) at the site of future stone Kremlin in 1220, a small Russian wooden hillfort was founded by Grand Duke Yuri II of Russia in 1221. Located at the confluence of two most important rivers of his principality, the Volga and the Oka, and Obran Osh was renamed Nizhny Novgorod. Its name literally means Lower Newtown, to distinguish it from the older Veliky Novgorod. Its independent existence was threatened by the continuous Mordvin attacks against it. The major attempt made by Inazor Purgaz from Arzamas in January 1229 was repulsed, but after the death of Yuri II on March 4, 1238 at the Battle of Sit River the Mongols occupied the fortress and the remnants of small Nizhny Novgorod settlement which surrendered without any resistance in order to preserve what had been developed since Purgaz’s attack eight years earlier. Later a major stronghold for border protection, Nizhny Novgorod fortress took advantage of a natural moat formed by the two rivers.
Along with Moscow and Tver, Nizhny Novgorod was among several newly-founded towns that escaped Mongol devastation on account of their insignificance, but grew into (great) centers in vassalic Russian political life during the period of the Tatar Yoke. With the agreement of the Mongol Khan, Nizhny Novgorod was incorporated into the Vladimir - Suzdal Principality in 1264. After 86 years its importance further increased when the seat of the powerful Suzdal Principality was moved here from Gorodets in 1350. Grand Duke Dmitry Konstantinovich (1323–1383) sought to make his capital a rival worthy of Moscow; he built a stone citadel and several churches and was a patron of historians. The earliest extant manuscript of the Russian Primary Chronicle, the Laurentian Codex, was written for him by the local monk Laurentius in 1337. (Извини что такой длинный. )

Dublin
Dublin is a fine city, with beautiful grey stone houses. It is situated on the east coast of Ireland. If you go to Dublin you must visit its parks. They have beautiful gardens with deer, and there are markets there on Sundays.
Dublin has always been a city of music. A lot of rock and pop groups come to Ireland, because the Irish like music very much. The Irish people like an old song about a Dublin girl, Mollie Malone. She sold shellfish in the streets of Dublin, her father and mother did the same thing before her. When she was still young she became ill and died, but her ghost lived after her. The writer of the song doesn’t use the word "love", but he calls her "sweet Mollie Malone", so probably he loved her. Because Dublin is near the sea you can sometimes feel the wind on your face in the middle of the city. But if you want to be warm you can drink coffee in one of the many cafes. Dublin has lots of bridges. Many people know about O’Connell Bridge. It’s unusual because it is almost square (47 metres wide and 49 metres across). People know about the Dublin Post Office too. In 1916 there was fighting there between Irishmen and British soldiers.

Prague (/ˈprɑːɡ/; Czech: Praha, [ˈpraɦa] ( listen), German: Prag) is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the 15th largest city in the European Union.[5] It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.26 million people, while its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of nearly 2 million.[6] The city has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters.
Prague has been a political, cultural, and economic centre of central Europe with waxing and waning fortunes during its history. Founded during the Romanesque and flourishing by the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque eras, Prague was the capital of the kingdom of Bohemia and the main residence of several Holy Roman Emperors, most notably of Charles IV (r. 1346–1378).[7] It was an important city to the Habsburg Monarchy and its Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city played major roles in the Bohemian and Protestant Reformation, the Thirty Years’ War, and in 20th-century history as the capital of Czechoslovakia, during both World Wars and the post-war Communist era.[8]
Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with thePrague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The city boasts more than ten major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. An extensive modern public transportation system connects the city. Also, it is home to a wide range of public and private schools, including Charles University in Prague, the oldest university in Central Europe.[9]
