Правильное письмо. Только я бы заменила предложение где говориться "Накануне Нового года. " напиши лучше так "Накануне Нового Года мы готовим с мамой. " Тогда читаться будет немного легче и четче.  

Give a lot of presents each other - лучше сказать: exchange gifts.
Почему On my birthday? Вы же про New year пишите.
Перед Christmas tree нужен артикль ’a".

У меня все хорошо, живем отлично дома у нас тепло! Прости что я тебя так долго не писала. Я была очень занята. Сегодня по русскому языку мы изучали очень интересную тему.  Thanks for your letter. I was happy to hear that you are fine. Let me tell you about my Chrismas holidays. I spent Christmas with my family. It was fantastic! At the new year’s eve, we decorated the house and a Christmas tree. In the evening we sat at the table. The main dish of this celebration was turkey. Everything was great. The next day I go for a  walk with my friends. We made a snowman, played snowballs and riding on a sled. Anyway, we had a good time together. That's all my news for the moment. I hope you and you family are well.

How are you? The New Year’s day is coming! How are you going to celebrate it? I will celebrate it at home with my family. We usually decorate the New Year tree and our house. My mother and grandmother make a lot of tasty delicacies and cakes. My sister helps to lay the table and wash the dishes. My father and grandfather make barbecue. It is our favorite dish.
