Эссе на тему: a city mouse or a country mouse

Lots of people prefer living in cities rather than in the countryside. There is no doubt that life in big cities is interesting and there are a lot of advantages. To begin with, you have everything you need so close at hand: shops, hospitals, post offices, chemist’s. I mean all types of local facilities. What is more, there are a lot of interesting things to do and places to see. You can eat in good restaurants, visit museums, and go to the theatres, cinemas and to concerts. Moreover, it goes without saying, that using convenient public transport helps you save money as you don’t need a car to get around. Besides, it is often easier to get good education. And also you can find a well paid job because there is low rate of unemployment. All in all, city life is full of hustle and bustle, and you will never feel bored or isolated. Of course, on the other hand, any large city has its problems, too. In the city there is high cost of living. For example, it is difficult to find good cheap place to live. And sometimes I don’t understand how people can put up with the constant noise, pollution, traffic jams and crowded streets.      According to other people, it is very important to have a high quality lifestyle and live in a peaceful neighbourhood without fast pace of the big city. Only imagine beautuful landscapes with fantastic scenery and lots of space for children to run around and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are no noisy crowds and traffic jams. Another main argument in favour of living in the countryside is healthy lifestyle as the air is clean and fresh. So living in the country, can be useful for your health. And, of course, in a city you can feel very lonely because people often don’t know their neighbours whereas in the country people are very friendly and helpful. Of course, there are some negative aspects to living there. First of all, there’s lots of hard work to, but they don’t mind. Sometimes it’s difficult to grow crops because of bad weather. Also they can feel isolated, too, especially because of the bad condition of the roads. Another problem is that many things are not as easily available as in the city. There are no local facilities such as schools, supermarkets and hospitals.     As for me, I would prefer city life because I am keen on visiting theatres, cinemas, museums and galleries and I don’t mind noise and pollution. Besides, the city offers good opportunity to continue education and gives us hope to find a prestigious job in the future. However, I enjoy the peace and fresh air of the countryside and in summer I usually go to my country house where I have a good time with my friends. QUESTIONS 1. How would you improve the living conditions in the city? 2. Do you like the place where you live? Why (not)?  3. Where would you prefer to live? 4. Where do you think people will live in the future, in cities or in the countryside? Why? 5. Would you like to change the place where you live?       1. In my opinion it’s possible to solve most of the problems of big cities, for example, the problem of pollution. Cutting down on emissions from large factories and exhaust fumes from transport would help solve the problem. I think we should try and use alternative energy such as solar energy and wind energy and design plants and cars that run on electricity, and much cleaner fuel than petrol. In addition, I think the government should ban cars from city centres. We can also improve the situation with traffic if the government encourages people to use the underground more. I would argue that if the underground was made cheaper, many people would decide to leave their cars at home.      2. I live in a friendly but crowded neighbourhood just outside the Garden Ring in Moscow. My hometown is Lyubertsy. I have lived there all my life and have a lot of friends that live nearby. For my point of view, it is the best place for living as we can combine the advantages of living in a small cosy place and the advantages of its situation not far from the best city in the world - Moscow. I especially enjoy this town for its quiet and a peaceful neighbourhood.

My country essay

My COUNTRY
I would like to tell you about my country. Russia is the largest country in the world. It covers eastern part of Europe and northern part of Asia. Total area of Russia is about seventeen million square kilometres with the population of about 145 million people.
The official name of Russia is the Russian Federation. The colours of the national flag are white, blue and red. Russia’s state emblem is a double headed eagle. The country is a parliamentary republic, which means that the President is the Head of the state. The main law of the country is the Constitution. It guarantees the rights of the citizens.
The country is washed by twelve seas and three oceans: the Pacific Ocean in the east, the Arctic Ocean in the north and the Atlantic Ocean in the west. Russia borders on many countries: China, Georgia, Finland, Norway, Byelorussia, Ukraine and others. The landscape of Russia is varied. There are highlands in the east, steppes in the south, plains and forests in the midland, the tundra and the taiga in the north.
There are several mountain chains in my country, too: the Urals, the Caucasus, the Altai and others. The largest chain is the Urals which separates Russia’s European part from its Asian part.
Russia is rich in rivers and lakes. The Volga which flows into the Caspian Sea is the longest river in Russia. Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world.
There are different types of climate on the territory of Russia. It is very cold in the north, even in summer. In the central part of the country winters are usually cold, summers are very warm. The climate of Siberia is continental: summers are hot and dry, winters are very cold and snowy. In the south of Russia the temperature is usually above zero all year round, even in winter.
Russia is an industrial country. It has a lot of mineral resources: coal, natural gas and iron. There are a lot of large factories and plants all over the country. Russia is also an agricultural country. Russians plant corn, fruit and vegetables.
Russia has a very rich history. It is an ancient country with a lot of historic places of interest, big cultural centres and small towns. There are a lot of museums, theatres, cinemas, libraries, restaurants and clubs in big Russian cities. Such cities are usually noisy with heavy traffic in the streets and are full of smoke.
The capital of Russia is Moscow. Moscow is one of the biggest cities in Europe with the population more than ten million people. The second largest city in Russia is St. Petersburg. This is a city of numerous monuments, museums and art galleries. The city is on the Neva River.
Russia is a great country with a great culture. I love my country.

написать про один какой-нибудь экстремальный спорт желательно про bungee jumping. Текст не большой в пол страницы не больше.

Bungee jumping (/ˈbʌndʒiː/; also spelt "Bungy" jumping, which is the usual spelling in New Zealand and several other countries)[1][2] is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. The tall structure is usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane; but it is also possible to jump from a movable object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has the ability to hover above the ground. The thrill comes from the free-falling and the rebound.[3] When the person jumps, the cord stretches and the jumper flies upwards again as the cord recoils, and continues to oscillate up and down until all the kinetic energy is dissipated.

Составить эссе на тему: "Are you a city Mouse or a country mouse?"

I’m a city mouse because I love bright flashes in the city center in the evenings. It isn’t a main reason for me but I really enjoy walking through my favorite streets. To my mind, city has a lot of advantages besides that. For exaple there are always supermarkets and drugstores in easy reach. It saves time which I can spend on my homework or housework. Comfort also play a big role in my choice. I like relaxing seatting on a sofa with some hot drink alongside in front of the computer or TV. My country house isn’t equiped with many HiTech devices. As for me it’s a tradegy. Sometimes I can’t stand going to country as I may not be able to contact with my e-friends.
All in all, people are different. But I strongly feel that country live is not my cup of tea.

Nowadays many people travel all over the world. Of course when you visit to another country you have to find more information about it. If you have well awareness of the language, customs and traditions then you will have fewer problems on the tour. In my opinion it can be really useful for some traveler.
On the one hand, you should know more about the upcoming trip to avoid awkward moments. Firstly, you may have problems with the local people. For example, all the Europeans do not understand if you begin to touch or kiss her profusely. Secondly, it is necessary to know the culture for people with physiological abnormalities. For example, people who have allergies to many foods or another things. Thirdly, need to check the weather for the trip to avoid illness. We know such cases as people caught in extraordinary situations, sick and had complications.
On the other hand, when we get a lot of information about the country before the trip we lose the flavor of your journey. Also on the tour is not interesting to hear the same information. Moreover, information which we usually take from the Internet may be false. For example, the wrong information about the traditions can put you in an awkward situation.
In conclusion I would like to say that it is necessary to have some information, but not a lot because it can spoil your trip.

Напишите эссе на тему: The best way to learn a foreign languages is to learn it in the country it is spoken.

ликобритании.
The question of learning foreign, languages is very important today. Foreign languages are requered especially at the present time when progress in science and technology has led to an explosion of knowledge and has contributed to an overflow of information. The total knowledge of mankind is known to double every seven years. Foreign languages are needed as the main and the most efficient means of information exchange between the people of our planet.
Today English is the language of the world. It is the language of progressive science and technology, trade and cultural relations, commerce and business. It is the universal language of international aviation, shipping and sports. It is also the major language of diplomacy.
Hundreds and undreds of books, magazines and newspapers are printed in English and read all over the world. 75% of the world’s mail and 60% of the world telephone calls are in English. Half of the world’s scientific literature is written in English. English is spoken by more than 350 million people. Geographically, it is the most widespread language on earth, second only to Chinese in the number of people who speak it.
It is the official language of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the United States of America, of Australia and New Zealand. English is used as one of the official languages in Canada, the Republic of South Africa and the Irish Republic. It is also spoken as a second language in many parts of India and Africa. The number of second-language speakers may soon exceed the number of native speakers. Besides, millions of people study English as a foreign language. In our country English is very popular. It is studied at schools (sometimes even at nursery schools), colleges and universities.
What does it mean to know a foreign language? It is not easy to answer this question. Americans think that you know a foreign language if native speakers understand you. And nobody cares about your mistakes. But of course nobody can call it "good English" and you can use it only if your contacts with native speakers are rare and not very important. If you are connected with foreign countries very closely, especially through your work, you should have a good command of the language. It means that your pronunciation should be standard, you should speak fluently and without mistakes. And of course you should understand your partner correctly. The latter sometimes is the most difficult part of all. As to spelling, it depends whether you have to write or not. If you do then you should do it correctly too.
So far, there is no universal or ideal method of learning languages. Everybody has his own way. Sometimes it is boring to study grammar or to learn new words. But it is well known that reading books in the original, listening to the BBC news, communicating with English-speaking people will help a lot. When learning a foreign language you learn the culture and history of the native speakers. One must work hard to learn any foreign language.
Russia is being integrated into the world community and the problem of learning English for the purpose of communication is especially urgent today.

написать эссе на тему: If I could choose, I would live in a big modern city/in the country.

If I had a chose, I would most likely live in a big modern city. It’s populated streets and moderness gives it charm. It feels great to live in a huge city, you never feel alone! And there is always so much to do, so many things to see, you just can’t get bored. Of course though there are down sides to living in the city. Some of them are that there is much more pollution, especially compared to the country side. During the summer in big cities it can get overwhelmingly hot, and in result many citizens can get heat stroke. There is also the increase in diseases, such as lung disease, which is due to the fact that there are a lot of smokers in the city. The city can also be stressful.
But nonetheless, I still would enjoy living in one! )))))
