We have a nice flat in a new block of flats. Our flat is on the fourth floor. It has all modern conveniences: central heating, gas, electricity, cold and hot water, a lift and a chute to carry rubbish down There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a hall in our flat.

The living-room is the largest and most comfortable room in the flat. In the middle of the room we have a square-table with six chairs round it. To the right of the dinner-table there is a wall-unit which has several sections: a sideboard, a wardrobe and some shelves. At the opposite wall there is a piano and stool before it. Between the two large windows there is a little table with a colour TV set on it. Near the TV set there are two cosy armchairs. A small round table, a divan-bed and a standard lamp are in the left-hand corner. This small table is for newspapers and magazines. My father is used to having a rest sitting on this divan-bed reading books, newspapers, magazines or watching TV.

The bedroom is smaller than the living-room and not so light as there is only one window in it. In this room there are two beds.  An alarm-clock and a small lamp with a pink lamp-shade are on the table. In the left-hand corner there is a dressing-table with a big mirror. In this room we have a built-in wardrobe with coat-hangers to-hang clothes on. There is a thick carpet on the floor and plain light-brown curtains on the window. The third room is my study. It is not large but very cosy. There isn’t much furniture in it, only the most necessary. It has a writing-table and an armchair before it. In the right-hand corner there is a bookcase full of books, magazines and newspapers. A small table with a radio is standing in the left-hand corner. Near it there is a sofa with some cushions. In my opinion, the study is the best room in our flat.

But the warmest place in our flat is the kitchen, I think — the place where the whole family gathers every evening not only to have supper together, but also to speak and rest. I like the English proverb: "My home is my castle" because my flat is, indeed, my castle.

Между двумя большими окнами находится маленький столик с цветным телевизором на нем. Около телевизора два уютных кресла. Маленький круглый столик, диван-кровать и торшер в левом углу. Этот маленький столик предназначен для газет и журналов. Папа привык к тому, чтобы отдыхать, сидя на диване-кровати, читать книги, газеты, журналы или смотреть телевизор.

Спальня меньше по размеру, чем гостиная, и не такая светлая, потому в ней только одно окно. В этой комнате находятся две кровати. Будильник и небольшая лампа с розовым абажуром на столе. В левом углу есть туалетный столик с большим зеркалом. В этой комнате есть встроенный шкаф с вешалками, чтобы повесить одежду. Лежит толстый ковер на полу и однотонные светло-коричневые шторы на окне. Третья комната - это мой кабинет. Он небольшой, но очень уютный. В нем не так много мебели, а только самое необходимое. Здесь находится письменный стол и кресло перед ним. В правом углу есть книжный шкаф, полный книг, журналов и газет. Небольшой столик с радио стоит в левом углу. Возле него находится диван с подушками. На мой взгляд, кабинет - самая лучшая комната в нашей квартире.

Но самым теплым местом в нашей квартире является кухня, я думаю место, где вся семья собирается каждый вечер не только, чтобы поужинать вместе, но и поговорить и отдохнуть. Мне нравится английская пословица: "Мой дом - моя крепость", потому что моя квартира, действительно, моя крепость.

Patient: I have caught a terrible cold.
Doctor: Have you taken your temperature before your visit to me?
Patient: Yes, I have taken my temperature before I left home. The temperature was normal.
Doctor: How long do you feel this way?
Patient: I am off-colour since Wednesday.

So many things can make us unhappy: some of them are big and serious, the others are — insignificant and even ridiculous. Nevertheless, an old proverb says "every cloud has a silver lining". Very often struggles are exactly what people need in their life. I believe I am strong enough to stand and battle with all the problems of life. And when we believe in ourselves everything is possible.

My every day shoppingWhen we want to buy something, we go to a shop. 
Everyday shopping is rather traditional: some white and brown bread, milk, butter, sugar, salt, eggs, sausages. But it’s not necessary to visit different provisional shops such as bakery or butchery to buy food for the family because we could buy foodstuffs in a supermarket. Different goods are sold under one roof, so customers can save their time having all goods bought in no time. Well, shopping is no fun any longer, but my daily duty. I dream to be an economist. I try to be rational and economical. I try to follow some steps. First of all it is necessary to make a shopping list of what we need. Then we should calculate how much our purchases would cost and take this very sum of money with us. The third rule tells that we shouldn’t be hungry while shopping, a hungry person buys the things his or her stomach dictates to buy, not thinking about prices or rational nutrition. And we shouldn’t go shopping immediately after we have got our salary, when we feel impressed by a large sum of money and don’t think it’s for a long month to last. Every day before leaving for school I look around the kitchen to see what we need. And on my way from school I drop into the nearest supermarket, and buy bread and other everyday essentials. Every Friday evening my Mum and I examin our kitchen more carefully as Saturday is our shopping day. The shopping list is rather long, so we both go shopping. The method of shopping is very simple. In a self-service shop a customer goes from counter to counter selecting and putting into a basket the goods he wants to buy. It’s absolutely necessary to check the dates before which this or that foodstuff should be used, not to buy something of bad quality. Then a customer takes the basket to the check-out counter where the prices of the purchases are added up. After paying money to the cashier the customer can get his purchases. Mum and I go to the supermarket where we can buy different things at once: fish, bread, sausages, tea, sugar, spices, eggs. I think that a bakery department is among the best in the shop as it has a rich choice of biscuits. And what is more importable they are always fresh and tasty. Another department of the supermarket, which we have to visit, is a dairy. At the dairy we buy milk, cream, yogurt, cheese, butter and other products. My Mum and I are regular customers at the greengrocer’s where potatoes, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, oranges, apples and other fruits and vegetables. In summer we prefer buying fruits, berries and vegetables at the nearest market. Sometimes I have to go to a department store. I can buy there fabrics and footwear, glass, ready-made clothes and cosmetics, toys and electric appliances, furniture and sport goods, cameras and films, and what not. At the butcher’s there’s a wide choice of meat such as beef, pork, mutton, chicken and turkey. It’s really a great skill to choose a piece of meat you need, for soup or for chops or shashlyk, so it’s my Mum who is to buy meat. 
I can’t but say that our shops are becoming more and more European-like. Their halls, adverts attract more customers. Shopping gets some element of fun and entertainment. 

We have a nice house. This is a picture of our house. You can see it is not very big. There are four rooms in our house: a living-room, a dining-room and two bedrooms, and a kitchen.
The door of the house is shut. You can see three large windows of the living-room. The windows are open. You cannot see the kitchen windows. The kitchen is behind the living-room.
In front of the house there is a small garden with flowers in it. There is a garden behind the house too. You can see flowers and trees in the garden.

 At the present I go to school, so I’m very busy on weekdays. Because of this, unfortunately, I can’t help in the house as often as my parents wish. However, I do my best to find the time to clean house.
Once a week I help my mother to do all other work about the house. We wash our linen, iron and mend it, clean the flat. It’s not difficult to keep the flat if you do your rooms regularly. This is my usual round of duties. When my mother is ill or away from home I do the cooking. I am especially good at making vegetable soup and salads. I don’t consider my household chores difficult and I can cope with them easily, but sometimes I feel a bit lazy or I may be too busy with my school homework.

В моей спальне много всего. Есть два окна, 1 большой шкаф, комод и самое главное - Кровать. Я провожу почти всё время в моей любимой комнате 
In my bedroom a lot of things. There are two windows, one large wardrobe, chest of drawers, and most importantly - Bed. I spend almost all the time in my favorite room

My room is large and light. There is a big window to the right. There is a nice bed with red blanket near in the corner. There is a brown sofa with yellow pouf in the right corner. There is a wardrobe is my room. I like my room very much.

Моя спальная большая и светлая. В ней большое окно с правой стороны. В левом углу хорошая кровать с красным одеялом. Коричневый диван с желтым пуфом стоит в правом углу. Там есть шкаф в моём комноте. Мне очень нравится моя комната.

What are the causes of natural disasters which are becoming more frequent in our country? Not waiting for the scientist’ explanations, people say this is our fault. During the last 50 years a great deal of forest in the Carpathians have been cut down. Deforestation has led to changes in local climate. That’s why we have trouble with floods in this in this region. The scientists remind us that all elements and systems are interconnected in nature. Irresponsible attitude to it might lead to terrible results.

Каковы причины стихийных бедствий, которые становятся все более частыми в нашей стране? Не дожидаясь ученый и администрацией; разъяснения, люди говорят, что это наша вина. За последние 50 лет, много лесов в Карпатах были вырублены. Обезлесением, привело к изменению местного климата. Вот и администрацией; s, почему у нас проблемы с наводнениями в этом в этом регионе. Ученые напоминают нам, что все элементы и системы взаимосвязаны в природе. Безответственное отношение к ней может привести к страшным результатам.

Our group We are green wants to present you our project. At first, we would like to say that we have to protect our environment because it depends on us. We are convinced that cutting down trees is not necessary. There is a really good way to protect our environment. It’s recycling. We have to keep in mind that trees help us to breath fresh and clear air. And the bigger trees are in our earth the better for people. Remember, our environment definitely is in danger. We must protect it, make earth clean and save it for the next generations.

I usually use my phone. I buy computer game in shop now. We play game at the moment. we usually go to school. I go to bed for sleep at the moment. Now i learn to school. (Я английский язык знаю хорошо, но я не совсем уверен. )

The sun is shining now. I am riding a bike at the moment. My friend, Rob, is playing hockey now.  My sister is playing the piano at the moment. My brother, Sam, is playing computer games now. My grandfather is treating a horse now. He is a vet.
