Наступила в России зима. Засыпало лес снегом. Как хорошо зимой в лесу! Деревья все в пушистом снегу, искрящемся в лучах солнца. Но вот животным в зимнем лесу жить нелегко. Непросто добывать из-под снега пропитание, беречь силы. Лисы попрятались в свои тёплые норы. Белки живут тем, что грызут орехи, припрятанные про запас осенью. Медведи в берлогах лапу сосут. Волки выслеживают добычу. Еще в лесу живут кабаны. У них очень сильно развито чутьё. Это помогает им искать зимой в лесу съедобные коренья. Выдры, питающиеся рыбой, также зимой выходят из своих нор очень редко. Схватит выдра какую-нибудь зазевавшуюся мышь, и обратно в нору. Серая неясыть - довольно крупная сова зорко следит за мышами и зайцами, высматривая их в снегу. Мне кажется, все обитатели леса, и звери, и птицы, и даже растения, ждут, когда же суровая русская зима уступит место пришедшей ей на смену красавице весне.

January is the time of greatest holidays of Christmas and New Year. All relatives are gathering and mother cooks tastiest things. I like the blinking of garlands in windows during those holydays. But most pleasant parts of all festivities are given and presented present. I used to believe in Santa Claus but presents from parents are great too.
Winter gave us lots of beauty and joy. One can spend time with use to health even despite the cold weather. And it’s great time to spend time with relatives. And even when there are severest frost outside one should remember that winter won’t last forever and warm spring is ahead.
