My spring holidays last well. Birds fly, the sun shines, and clouds resemble animals. Today is a wonderful day, I’m walking in the yards with the guys. I play soccer with the guys. But here came a heavy rain. The guys got scared, and ran home and I stayed under the net. The the rain ended, the guys came and we started playing again.
I’ve already returned from my spring holidays. I would like to tell you about it. I visited my grandparents. They live in Moscow. I visited Red Square and many interesting places. Then my parents and I went on a trip. We enjoyed the nice weather. We were fishing and cooking a soup. When we came home, my elder sister taught me play guitar.

We all look forward for school holidays during the academic year. There are four major school breaks, in winter, spring, summer and autumn. The longest holidays are in summer, as they last for three months. Winter holidays last for almost two weeks. Spring and autumn holidays last for only a week. It’s not a long term, but I always enjoy my holidays and try to spend them cheerfully.
These spring holidays were full of positive emotions. At first, my parents wanted to travel somewhere hot and to take me with them, but then they changed their mind. My uncle, who lives in (місто), invited us to his place and my parents gladly agreed. To save time, my dad offered to go there by plane. The flight was about four hours. The same day we arrived my uncle showed us around. I should say that the city is rather beautiful. When we came back, my uncle’s wife, aunt Maria, has prepared delicious dinner for us, consisting of rice pilaf. For the dessert we had some sweet pies with tea. Spending time in (місто), I learnt that many prominent people have lived and worked in this city.
I wish we had more time to stay there, at least one more week, but soon we had to go back home. My spring holidays were over and on Monday the school started.
My favorite holidays are spring holidays because they are at the end of March and weather is very good.
Every day of my holidays I went for a walk to the park with my friends, who came from Ukraine to England. And we celebrated London together. We often went to my grannies and grandfather.
We jumped over bonfire and I was burnt a little but it’s trifle.
Then me and my sister were grown semeni.
On holidays me, my class and Elmira. There were some children from school №67 and we were read chapter №99 from "Oliver Twist". Then I decided to watch this film and read this book. I like spring very much. When I have my holidays in spring I enjoy myself. It is very great to have holidays in spring. To begin with I shall walk with my friends if the sun shines brightly in the sky. I enjoy the blue sky and even spring rain. The spring rain is warm and pleasant. I shall watch fresh leaves and blossoms on the trees. I feel stronger and kinder in spring. Secondly I can go to countryside and have a walk in a forest or by a river with my best friend in spring. We enjoy playing ballgames. Sometimes we can lie in the sun and watch the clouds. Sometimes we can swim in a river if the water is warm enough. And at last if you do not like nature you can play your computer and enjoy your free holiday time.

Easter.
Easter is a Christian spring festival that is usually celebrated in March or April. The name for Easter comes from a pagan fertility celebration. The word "Easter" is named after Eastre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess og spring. Many people go outdoors on Easter morning hoping to see the sun dance. There is also a custom of putting on something new to go to church on Easter morning. People celebrate the holiday according to their beliefs and their religious denominations. Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day that Christ died and Easter Sunday as the day that He was resurrected. Protestant settlers brought the custom of a sunrise service, a religious gathering at dawn, to the United States. Today on Easter Sunday, children wake up to find that the Easter Bunny has left them baskets of candy. He has also hidden the eggs that they decorated earlier that week. Children hunt for the eggs all around the house. Neighborhoods and organizations hold Easter egg hunts, and the child who first the most eggs wins a prize. Americans celebrate the Easter bunny coming. They set out easter baskets for their children to anticipate the easter bunnys arrival whi leaves candy and other stuff. The Easter Bunny is a rabbit-spirit. Long ago, he was called the "Easter Hare". Hares and rabbits have frequent multiple births, so they became a symbol of fertility. Christians fast during the forty days before Easter. They choose to eat and drink only enough to feep themselves alive. The day preceding Lent is known as Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day. Shrove Tuesday recalls the day when people went to Church ti confess and be shriven before Lent. But now the day is more generally connected with relics of the traditional feasting before the fast. Shrove Tuesday is famous for pancake calebration. There is some competition at Westminster School: the pancakes are tossed over a bar by the cook and struggled for by a small group of selected boys. The boy who manages to get the largest piece is given a present. This tradition dates from 1445. In the morning the first church bell on Orley is rung for the competitors to make pancakes. The second ring is a signal for cooking them. The third bell set rung for the copetitors to gather at the market square. Then the Pancake bell is sounded and the ladies set off from the church porch, tossing their pancakes three times as they run. Each woman must wear an apron and a hat or scarf over her head. Good Friday brings the once sacred cakes, the famous Hot Cross buns. These must be spiced and the dough marked with a cross before baking. Eggs, chickens, rabbits and flowers are all symbols of new life. Chocolate and fruit cake covered with marzipan show that fasting is over. Wherever Easter is celebrated, there Easter eggs are usually to be found. In England, just as in Russia, Easter is a time for giving and receiving of presents that traditionally take the form of an Easter egg. Easter egg is a real hard-boiled egg dyed in bright colors or decorated with some elaborate pattern. Coloring and decorating eggs for Easter is a very ancient custom.

How I spent my summer holidays
I spent my holidays very well. At the beginning of June I passed all my examinations with excellent marks and my parents gave me a present. This present was a new powerful computer! But I did not only stay at home. I went for a walk with my friends, rode by bicycle. It is so interesting to visit new places in the city, by riding bicycle. My native city is Novosibirsk. I explored a lot of beautiful places, such as parks, monuments, fountains and other sightseeings. My favorite monument is a statue for Visotskiy. I think, Visotskiy is one of the greatest Russian poets and bards.
In July I went to a tourist camp for children Timurovets. I met many new friends there. We played many exciting games, sang different songs and took part in different competitions. It was very sad to leave the camp, but I didn’t feel bored at home.
I went to the river with my father. We swam, sunbathed and hunted for lizards there. I got a lot of energy by having a rest and I could do boring work. For example, read school literature and do other homework and hometasks. I studied radio electronics and programming. It was very interesting for me, and so I made my first robot-hedgehog. It is a very nice hedgehog.
Maybe, my summer holidays weren’t very unusual, but I will remember them and look forward to the next ones.
Как я провёл мои летние каникулы.
Я провел мои летние каникулы очень хорошо. В начале июня я сдал все экзамены на отлично, и мои родители сделали мне подарок. Это был новый мощный компьютер! Но я не только сидел дома. Я гулял с друзьями, катался на велосипеде. Это так интересно - изучать город, катаясь на велике, а мой родной город - Новосибирск. Я узнал много красивых мест, таких как парки, памятники, фонтаны и другие достопримечательности. Мой любимый памятник – это статуя Высоцкому. Я думаю, Высоцкий один из величайших русских поэтов и бардов.
В июле я съездил в детский лагерь Тимуровец. Я познакомился там со многими новыми друзьями. Мы играли в захватывающие игры, пели различные песни и участвовали в соревнованиях. Было грустно уезжать из лагеря, но дома я тоже не скучал.
Мы ездили с папой на речку. Там мы плавали, загорали и охотились на ящериц. Отдыхая, я зарядился энергией и мог делать скучную работу. Например, читать школьную литературу и делать другие домашние задания. Я изучал радиоэлектронику и программирование. Для меня это очень интересно, и я сделал моего первого робота-ежика. Он получился очень милым.
Может быть, мои летние каникулы не были очень необычными, но я запомню их и буду с нетерпением ждать следующих.

My spring holidays were great! The weather was fine, it was warm and sunny. The first day of holidays was a little bit cloudy. My friends and I went to the cinema, then we visited the Art Museum and at the end of the day we ate pizza! It was delicious! We were all in a good mood, it was a wonderful day! The second day was so nice and warm, and I decided to suggest my classmates to go to the park. We had a good picnic there. We played football ( both boys and girls) and tennis! We had a fantastic rest!

Today is the last day of my spring holidays and I want to tell about my last week. We went to Yalta with our class. I was in the Crimea for the first time and Yalta impressed me very much. We visited Vorontsov Palace, Livadia Palace, Nikitsky Botanical Garden and others. Every day we had interesting excursions and were fun.
On Friday we came back home and I decided to organize a little party at home. My mother helped me. I invited my friends. The party had its theme ’’April Fool’s Day’’. The weather was great and we celebrated in our garden. We played games, wore funny costumes and sang popular songs. This holiday I appointed on Saturday because on Sunday I had to prepare for school.
My spring holidays lasted only a week, but they left a lot of good memories.
