  I’d like to describe you my working day. All the days looked very much the same.
   On weekdays I usually get up at 7. I do my morning exercises. Then I wash my face and hands and clean my teeth. At half past seven I am ready to have my breakfast. I like to have a light breakfast. After breakfast I leave for school.
   My school is not far from my house. It takes me 10 minutes to get to school. Lessons begin at 8:30 a. m. and finish at about 3 p. m. Six or seven lessons a day is the ordinary timetable. Twice a week I stay at school after classes to play basketball.
   When  I come home I have dinner. Then I rest a little. Sometimes I read a book or talk to my friends over telephone.
   After that I start doing my home assignments. Twice a week I go to have private lessons in Maths in order to improve my knowledge.
   As a rule, I finish doing my homework at about 9 o’clock. But one day a week is not so busy. This is Thursday. On Thursday 1 usually help my mother. Sometimes I do shopping or pick up clothes at the cleaners.
   I usually have supper at 7 o’clock p. m. Then I go on with my work. At 11 o’clock I go to bed.

MY DAY AT SCHOOL Every morning I wake up at 7.15 in the morning to get ready for school. I leave home at 8.00 and I arrive at school in two minutes. Before the bell rings for the morning prayer, I play and talk with my friends. After the prayer, our teacher, Mrs. Hara is taking us to the classroom to begin lessons. Every day we have seven hours of lessons with only four breaks in between. Our lessons are Greek Language, Mathematics, History, Religion, Drama lesson, English, Computer Science, Environmental lesson and of course Gymnastics. I get very tired at school but I have a lot of fun especially in the breaks. But the greatest time is when we leave school!

School is a very special place, where you grow up, make friends and receive education, a place where we learn to value moral qualities in people and develop our skills and talents.
I want to say that I was lucky to be a pupil of gymnasia №6 with the extensive English learning. Our gymnasia is just in the very centre of our town and consists of two perhaps not very modern but cosy-looking buildings. Entering the main building you come into a large and pleasant hall, which seems to be saying “Welcome” to you. On the ground floor there are a Headmaster’s Office, a library, several cloakrooms, classrooms for junior pupils. On the first floor you can find a teacher’s room, a canteen, a gym, a computer classroom and so on. We are proud of our assembly hall, where all kinds of performances, concerts and meetings are held. It has comfortable seats and it is nicely decorated. Chemistry, Physics and Biology laboratories are on the second floor. On the walls in the corridors you can see flowers, exhibitions of pupils’ paintings, different kinds of posters and school newspapers.
The range of subjects taught at our gymnasia is rather wide. In addition to obligatory, students can attend different optional classes. It is possible to learn English and American literature, Polish, Spanish and other subjects. I must admit that our gymnasia provides a high level of education. Every year our students show good results at regional and republic Olympiads, scientific conferences. More than 90% enter Universities and Colleges.
School buildingOur gymnasia has many interesting traditions. Traditions unite people, help them to be sure of their position in society. That’s why we try to preserve and develop such common and nice traditions as the Day of Knowledge, the meeting of the school-leavers, some holidays as Teacher’s Day, New Year, Victory Day, Christmas, St. Valentine’s Day. Our pupils take part in Exchange Programmes with Poland, Sweden. It has become a tradition to hold Charity Fair, during which we collect toys, books, money and give them to sick children and orphans.
Of course, there are some problems at school nowadays. It’s not a secret that schools experience financial problems. I wish we had more visual and technical aids, more computers, a swimming-pool, a modern canteen. I wish we had less subjects every day. To my mind our school schedule is overloaded. As a result more than 60% of pupils suffer from chronic diseases.
It’s common knowledge that much depends on teachers too. Teachers must be devoted to their work, must love children, be friendly and tolerant.
In conclusion I’d like to say that though educational system experiences a lot of problems, it still manages to produce excellent standards of education.

About my daily routine. There are a lot of things I’ve to do during the day.
I get up at half past seven every morning. I clean my teeth, make my bed, do morning exercises, have breakfast and go to school.
My lessons at school start at nine o’clock. Usually I have six lessons a day. We have breaks for the rest between our lessons. After the third lesson we usually have lunch. I have lunch in our canteen.
After school I go home and have dinner. After dinner I like to go for a walk with my best friend. But twice a week I go to the swimming pool after school. I like it very much.
At five o’clock I do my homework. After it I usually help my mother with my younger sister. We play together. Sometimes I read fairy tales to my sister.

Well, I’d like to tell you about my first day at school. It was a great day, as I always wanted to become a schoolboy/schoolgirl. That day my mother took me to school for the first time. There I met a lot of new friends. I liked my first teacher very much as she was very kind to all of us. She told us a lot of interesting things and explained that from that day on we were schoolchildren. She told us about some important rules. But not only we listened to her, we also spoke and told her about ourselves. When the first lesson was over we went to the schoolyard and played different games. I liked my first day at school very much.

My best friend.
My best friend’s name is Jake and he love soccer. We’re so different but I’m happy that we are friends. I’m good at drawing and Jake is not, Jake is good at science and I’m not. I love talking to my friend at lunch period. I remembered one day when I forget my lunch at home. I thought I can die because I was so hungry, Jake just opened his lunch as he normally was doing it, and then he gave to me one half of his own lucnh. I felt embraced because I thought I was making another person hungry but Jake said "It’s okay, eat. I don’t care about what others think about me", and looked at me with full of kindness eyes. He’s my best friend because he, only he knows what I can and can’t do. Jake never bothered me or someone else. And I’m trying to be like Jake. After school, Jake and I are coming or to his or to my house, we’re doing homework by helping one another by this we’re becoming better at all school lessons. Than we’re playing video games. Every morning we’re walking to school together. Jake tried to teach my how to play soccer but I always failed. I’m thankful to my school that we have lunch, I’m thankful to my mama that she forgot to put that lunch into my school bag, and I’m thankful to Jake who gave to me his lunch.
