Butterflies are assigned to insects as well as mosquitos, dragonflies, ants, beetles, etc. Their circle of life is stable and short. It consists of five parts: egg, larva, chrysalis, adulthood and death. Eggs are usually attached to tree leaves with a natural bio-glue because when larva pips it needs to eat, and most of them are plant eaters. Butterflies prefer to feed on flowers nectar and do it by feet, because their taste receptors are situated there.
One of the main features of a butterfly is an amazing beauty of its wings. It has 4 colored wings. Most of these insects have wings with bright and unique pattern on it. Color is very important point for all insects and plays a great part in their lives, because it helps to attract, hide or warn of danger.
It is recognized that butterfly flight speed-limit is 12 miles per hour, but some of them might be extremely fast and fly 25 miles per hour.
According to scientists’ research there are approximately 20000 different species of butterfly and this variety impresses. In contrast to other insects, they couldn’t be used as food or provide products and medicines we use, but they support the life cycle of numerous beautiful flowers.

Одна из самых интересных бабочек – это «павлиний глаз». Называется она так, потому что на ее крыльях расположены четыре пятна. Эти пятнышки очень похожи на глаза. Они даже подкрашены голубым цветом, будто радужная оболочка настоящего глаза. А еще – точь в точь будто «глазок» на хвосте у павлина. Когда «павлиний глаз» разворачивает свои крылышки, кажется, будто он на тебя пристально смотрит.

Сами крылья этой бабочки яркие, красно-коричневого цвета. Бывают и красно-оранжевые бабочки. А тельце бабочки серо-бежевое, неприметное. Два прямых длинных усика торчат впереди незаметной головки. Такие же серо-бежевые, как и тельце, полоски окаймляют яркие зубчатые крылышки бабочки. От этого контраста она выглядит еще красивее.

Она очень красивая! Летает как настоящий самолёт!

Well, it’s difficult to say that I’ve got favorite insect. But, I can say that gnat is the most interesting insect I’ve ever seen. 

First of all, I have to notice that this tiny insect can bring you a lot of inconveniences.

It can make a terrible noise. Which is very annoying. 

Some people try to kill gnat when they hear this noise. Well, only agile person can do it.

because, it’s very complicated to catch it. Moreover it’s very bad. If you try to kill gnat, imagine that you are a gnat. And someone tryes to kill YOU. I consider that you stop doing it.

To conclude I’d like to say, that it’s very complicate to say that gnat is my favorite insect, but I feel a pity to gnats. 

Бабочка- самое красивое насекомое по-моему мнению. Окраска крыльев просто замечательная, и разная, это зависит от вида бабочек. Бабочек насчитано более 400 видов, это во всем мире, а в России более 64.

Всем известно, что многие насекомые   могут издавать звуки: одни жужжат, другие скрипят, свистят и даже поют. На Востоке много сотен лет назад держали в специальных клеточках некоторые виды цикад, чтобы те услаждали слух богатых вельмож своими песнями. Среди этих насекомых были настоящие виртуозы, демонстрирующие разнообразные громкость, тембр и репертуар. Изнеженных придворных певцов очень ценили. Считалось особым изыском преподнести кому-либо в дар клеточку с членистоногим "соловьем". Такой подарок был достоин и императора.
