What does Diet means? some people think that it is something healthy and a lot of sports, where on another hand it is when you don’t it enough food. Diet is quite good, it’s when you have a control on yourself of what to eat and what to not! Like you don’t eat a lot of sweets or when you eat more healthy food like vegetables tomato and salads. But some people don’t know when to stop that is very bed and dangerous, because at the end those people are very ill! Diet is always different for everyone some people can’t eat sweets some people can’t eat meat! It is always good or bed, people have to know when to stop and what to eat! The main thing is control your self and diet will help you, leather than making something worser.
Today we are going to discuss benefits and disadvantages of diet and what influence does diet have on people. We often ask ourself a question wether diet is good, is it worth trying, we all want to try it through out our lives but we sometimes make wrong choises and this can lead to further health problems. Some people however suggested that diet helps many people by changing their outlook and appearance. Usually teenagers and women try diet because they are not particularly happy with their bodies. In most cases it leads to anorexia. It is very confusing but I gonna try and make it clear.
So, lets highlight all disadvantages.
Firstly, our bodies and organs need nutritions without them there could form ulcer in your stomack. We also need vitamines to keep our general health(hair, teeth, hemoglobin in the red blood cells etc) up to high level. Without energy which we release from food we wont be able to function, our rate of work and amount of certain work, our thinking speed will decreese. There will be no strenght left, this will be followed by headaches, stomachaches and bad mood.
Secondly, absence of food will lead to sudden addiction. Everyday it will be harder to force yourself to eat something. Very soon you wont be able to take even a small piece of food because you ll vomit it(due to the lack of food oesophagus and stomack will reject it, peristalsis wont be able to move food. This will be hard for your organism. ). It is very hard to bring an old life back and eat food as you used to do. This will take long time to rehabilitate.
Thirdy, when you are a child you need food to grow more than adults, therefore you child needs more energy, but with diet there is lack of energy. Your growth will be slowed down and organs wouldnt be able to function proparly. This will lead to further health problems and complications. Child will be subjected more to the entryof pathogens and other diseases.
On the other hand if you use diet proparly and dont go too far with it this can be beneficial and ll bring you spiritual and physical satisfaction.
By following the directions of the nutritionists and maintaining rich and active style of life you will reach wished result quickly.
Diet can help you when you have diabetes, obesity. It may increase your chanses for having longer and healthier life.
I would therfore recommend you to think before you decide to have a diet and make right and thoughful decision. Diet had advantages as well as disadvantages but to certain extent it contains more benefits rather than disadvantages. BE careful and very specific in your wishes. People all over the world eat different food because each country and people in it have their ideas about what is good to eat and what is the best diet for them. My family isn’t large. It consists of four members. But each member of our family has his or her own interests and tastes. Breakfast in our family is a very big and rich meal. We have not only toasts with butter, jam of honey, but a cheese sandwich, ham or sausage and fried eggs or porridge as well. We prefer tea at breakfast more often than coffee. But my little sister prefers juice. She likes orange or grapefruit juice. My mother has a light breakfast of just yoghurt and an orange. My father likes cornflakes with milk or sandwiches. As for me, when I get up in the morning the only thing I can take is a glass of some juice or mineral water, I can’t eat anything. Even after the shower I am not ready for breakfast. My stomach wakes up at about 10 o’clock and I become really hungry. I can go to the school canteen and eat there. On the weekend my usual breakfast at home is a cup of tea with some sandwiches or scrambled eggs with milk, or some serial with milk. I love when my mom cooks pancakes on Saturday mornings. Lunch is not very popular in our country. But if I stay longer at school I go to the canteen again together with my classmates. We have a bit of choice there. Sometimes I take some snack from home - a ham sandwich or a cheese sandwich. When I come home after school at about 2 or 3 o’clock I always have some soup. My mom cooks very well and her soups are delicious! My favorite kinds of soup are chicken soup, mushroom soup and red beet soup. I like eating soup with black bread. The biggest meal of the day is dinner or supper, of course. When we all come home (which does not happen very often) we gather at the kitchen and have supper. Before this I or my sister help our mom to cook. Because my mom is tired after work, too. For the main course we typically have some potatoes or vegetables with meat or fish. The most typical meat is pork, beef or chicken. Mom also serves different kinds of salads as appetizers. As for my habits, I can say that I don’t have a sweet tooth, so I don’t like chocolate or sweets very much. I also don’t like pastry - rolls, buns, cakes and pies. To be healthy, I also eat lots of fruit. When we go out somewhere together with my family we prefer Chinese food, sushi or some tasty hot pizza. However, I like trying cuisine of different countries. My parents travel a lot and mom always brings recipes of national cuisine of those countries that they visit. At home she tries to cook it - it’s really good for a change! I like the saying very much: “We always should remember that we eat to live but not live to eat.”

Since the 1970’s eating habits in Britain have undergone a change. People have been encouraged by doctors, health experts and government advertisements to eat less fat and more fibre. Fat is believed to be one of the major causes of obesity and heart disease. Forty per cent of adults in Britain are overweight and Britain has one of the highest death rates due to cardiovascular disease in the world. Britons have also become more aware of calories, the energy value of food. Some people count the number of calories they eat every day, so that they can try to take in fewer calories and lose weight. Food manufactures have started to help the general public to make more informed choices about what they eat.
So the traditional British breakfast is bacon, eggs or sausages, preceded by fruit and followed by toasts. Britons may eat this breakfast at weekends or on special occasions but prefer a smaller and healthier meal to start a day. Lunch is a light meal and is eaten at school or work. Lunch takes 40 minutes. Dinner is usually the main meal of the day and consists of two courses.
In recent years, foreign foods have become a regular part of the British diet. Indian and Chinese dishes are particularly popular for evening meals. Take-aways became extremely popular in the 1980’s. The traditional British take-away is fish and chips eaten with salt and vinegar and served in an old newspaper. The British are famous r their love of sweet things and afternoon tea with sandwiches; scones, jam and several kinds of cake, was once a traditional custom. Most working people don’t have tea as an afternoon "meal", but they do have a short break in the middle of the afternoon for a cup of tea. Tea is often also drink with lunch and dinner.

Eating Habits Of My Family. The food you eat may affect your general condition and mood. It can even affect the risk for certain diseases. I would like to tell you about the eating habits of my family. We normally try to eat only healthy food however, it’s not always possible. We are trying to eat at home and we avoid ordering take-away food. My mum is a good cook, so we eat the home-made dishes only. Sometimes on Friday evenings for dinner we go to a restaurant. We normally pick a quiet place with Italian food on the menu. That’s because everyone in our family loves pizza, pasta and risotto. There are weekends when together with family and friends we go on a picnic. That’s where we break the rules of healthy eating. My dad always makes a barbecue there. As you know grilled meat is not very healthy. There are days when we go fishing. In that case he cooks the freshly caught fish. On such days I wish I had been a vegetarian. Anyway, when we are at home, we eat healthy. Our breakfast consists of either oatmeal or a plateful of cereal. Sometimes my mum makes roasted toasts and an omelette. We drink either orange juice or green tea. We try to avoid black coffee as it’s not very healthy. During the day we eat lots of fruit and vegetables. My mum bakes delicious cakes, but she tries to reduce the amount of sugar. So, her baking is never too sweet. To sum up, I’d like to mention that there are three main components of health lifestyle: healthy eating, physical exercise and leisure activities.
