В нашем доме живет замечательная кошка сиамской породы, и зовут ее Василиса. У нее грациозное тело, красивые аккуратные ушки и правильный овал мордочки. Глаза у Василисы просто изумительные: огромные, выразительные, прозрачно — желтого цвета. Мех у киски светло — коричневый с палевыми и белыми пятнами, на груди очаровательная белая манишка. Шубка очень густая, поэтому даже в самые суровые морозы Василиса подолгу гуляет на улице. Ее стройные лапки заканчиваются мягкими подушечками, в которых прячутся острые коготки.
Мы регулярно досыта кормим Василису, но она, невзирая на наши старания, постоянно отправляется на охоту и ловит птиц, крыс и мышей. Без добычи возвращается очень редко. Строение глаз и специальные осязательные волоски помогают ей ориентироваться в полной темноте.
Подвижные ушки действуют как локаторы, и она на большом расстоянии определяет место, откуда исходит интересующий ее звук. Свои охотничьи трофеи Василиса обязательно приносит домой, чтобы мы увидели ее работу и по достоинству ее оценили.

Василиса, как и все девочки, любит разговаривать и, занимаясь чем-то, постоянно издает красивым мелодичным голосом звуки похожие на мяуканье, будто размышляет вслух или комментирует свои действия. Она любит обходить все потаенные места в доме. Я читала, что таким образом кошки производят энергетические чистки помещения, делают они это вполне осмысленно. Вообще, наблюдая за поведением своей любимицы, я пришла к выводу, что эти замечательные животные очень загадочны и непредсказуемы. У них свой внутренний мир и свое личностное отношение ко всему, что их окружает. Когда говорят, что кошка привязывается к месту, а не к человеку, то это, по-видимому, бывает тогда, когда кошке уделяют мало времени или грубо с ней обращаются.
