There are many different kinds of hobbies. Some people like to knit. Some people are fond of collecting. Some collect old coins, other post-cards. As for me, my hobby is collecting stamps. Now I have 2 albums full of stamps.
I like to sit at the table in the evening and arrange new stamps in the albums or just look though the stamps. Stamps have a story. Some stamps tell us about countries and people. Others about kings and queens. On the stamps I see people, birds and animals which I have never seen. My hobby is not only wonderful but is also very useful.
My parents also have hobbies. My mom is fond of doing housework. Her favorite housework is ironing. She hates dirt and so she loves housework. Else she collects shoes from shops from different countries. There is about five pairs of shoes, running shoes and others footwear.
My father’s hobby is collecting costumes from different expensive shops. All costumes have different colors. Some costumes white color, some black, other blue. His wardrobe is full of costumes.
My granny is fond of gardening. She likes grow flowers and tries. She has many seeds of exotic plants.
So as you can see there are a lot of things to do during your free time.

Увлечения отца собирает костюмов из разных дорогих магазинов. Все костюмы имеют разные цвета. Некоторые цвета костюмов белые, черные, синие другие. Его гардероб полный костюм.
Моя бабушка увлекается садоводством. Она любит выращивать цветы и попыток. Она имеет много семена экзотических растений.

Hello. My name is Karina. I’m 13 years old. Every morning I go to school and when I return around 2 pm I do my homework for tomorrow and then I’m free to do what I like. I’m very enthusiastic by nature and I like doing different activities. For example, I like playing chess, I enjoy attending the swimming-pool, I always participate in local volleyball games, I like experimenting with cooking, I like knitting and reading magazines, etc. However, I should say, I have three serious hobbies. First is the ping-pong. I’ m a very good player of table tennis and I have already won several prizes for this game in the region. I have been attending our local club of ping-pong for children for quite a while and the trainer said that I have a talent at it. My parents are very proud of me and my progress. My second hobby is drawing. I have always liked drawing things, painting and colouring. When my mum noticed my interest she took me to the city Art School which I then started attending. It’s been six years already since I first went there, and now I’m really good at picturing objects. I especially like drawing nature and still life. I have once tried to draw my friend’s portrait and it didn’t come out well. And my third hobby is collecting bright and interesting magazines for girls. My parents always buy them for me or order by mail, and my friends who know about my passion to magazines, also bring me some editions. I have already 75 (seventy-five) samples of these magazines and when I have some free time I gladly skim them.

К коллекционированию марок я пристрастился еще в раннем детстве благодаря отцу. Он считал, что в жизни его сына обязательно должно быть какое-нибудь интересное занятие и что мою неуемную энергию следует направить в нужное русло. Я настолько заразился его энтузиазмом, его увлекательными рассказами о марках, что решил: именно этим и буду заниматься.
Начался период выискивания книжек о филателии, увлеченных походов по специализированным магазинам, поисков единомышленников. Я записался в кружок юных филателистов во Дворце детского и юношеского творчества. Именно здесь мне посчастливилось встретиться со своим лучшим другом — заядлым собирателем марок.
В самом начале в моей коллекции были самые обычные марки — бывшие советские и современные. А хотелось пополнить свои альбомы чем-то особенным. Здесь помог случай. Оказалось, что друзья моих родителей по работе часто ездят в командировки за границу. Мы договорились, чтобы они, по возможности, привозили мне из своих поездок различные наборы марок. Благодаря этому моя коллекция стала стремительно расти.
Марки я храню в специальных альбомах, каждую — в отдельном прозрачном конверте. Все они рассортированы по группам: птицы, животные, автомобили, корабли, самолеты, изображения знаменитых людей, подводный мир.
По маминой просьбе я начал коллекционировать растения, отведя для этого отдельный альбом. Вообще-то я считаю, что это Девчоночье занятие — собирать всякие цветы, но мама довольна, поэтому приходится делать вид, что мне это тоже интересно.
Я часто рассматриваю свою коллекцию марок, мне нравится сочинять о них интересные истории. Хочется надеяться, что мое хобби со временем превратится в семейную традицию
