Прошло веселое лето. Наступила осень. Давно, еще в начале августа, начали мы вспоминать о школе. И вот наконец настало первое сентября. Известный детский писатель Сергей Михалков говорит об этом дне так:

Возле дома, на дворе.
По одной простой примете

Утро было солнечное и теплое. Так хотелось в школу – увидеть одноклассников, новых учителей, классы после ремонта! Я в первый раз надела на себя одежду, которую мы с мамой приготовили с вечера. Посмотрела в зеркало и увидела, что выгляжу нарядно и празднично. Вышла на улицу. По ней мальчики и девочки в школьной форме, их родители, бабушки и дедушки тоже спешили в школы на первосентябрьские линейки.
Около школы было много народу. Громко играла музыка со школьными песнями. Все были оживлены и громко разговаривали. Мы уже знали, что наша любимая учительница, Галина Евгеньевна, не будет нас больше учить, и было немного грустно оттого, что мы стали взрослее, а у неё теперь новый класс, который она будет любить. Может быть, наша новая учительница и хорошая, но пока мы с ней не успели подружиться…
Мы построились в колонны и слушали речь директора. Директор поздравил нас с новым учебным годом, потом передал слово гостям-шефам. Выступающих было много, некоторые из них вручали подарки и грамоты старшеклассникам. Тогда все аплодировали. После линейки прозвенел первый школьный звонок, его дало маленькая девочка с большими бантами. Её на плечах пронёс вдоль строя высокий старшеклассник.
В этот день у нас был классный час и два урока: пения и природоведения. Они прошли замечательно. После уроков мы познакомились с ребятами из другой школы, и пошли домой. Так я провела первый день в школе.

On this day, we go to school especially good, funny, with bouquets of flowers. Our teachers, head teachers, the director said many warm parting words, we want academic excellence. I attend secondary school №78. I started school in 2009 at the age of 7 and now I’m a pupil of the 6th form.
My first teacher was Tatiana Orlova. She was the teacher of Math. She taught us to write, to read and to count. She was very kind and patient. I really liked my first teacher. We often went for walks and excursions. We played together and became good friends with our classmates. At the age of 11 I went to the secondary school. Our school has two buildings. Elementary School is located in the red building, and secondary school in the white building. It is very good that the younger children have their own building. When we went to the secondary school we began to study a lot of new subjects such as History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry. Most of all I like Literature, History, English. I like our school. I have very many good friends here. We spend a lot of time together, help each other. Our school-life is very interesting. We visited museums and theatres. We rode the train to St. Petersburg and Moscow. I like to dance, and I think that our school should be spending more dance parties at school. I think that I’m really happy at school.

Let’s go out and see what people are doing in the streets this morning. There are a lot of schoolchildren in the streets. They are going to school. Boys and girls are carrying schoolbags, many of them have flowers in their hands. Senior pupils are going to school by themselves, but small children are going with their parents at their side.
There are pupils in the schoolyard. They are not playing games this morning. They are speaking about the summer holidays, about their new teachers and what is new at school. Music is playing and soon a meeting begins. The pupils, their parents and other people who are present listen to the director’s speech. Then a small girl with flowers is ringing the bell. The pupils are going to their classrooms and school year is beginning.

My school is a three-storeyed building. It is quite big with sport ground behind it, inside swimming pool.
On the ground floor there are the classrooms for the primary-school pupils, workshops, library. There are all kinds of tools and machines in the workshops. The boys of our school have a woodwork room too. There is a room for manual works for girls. Teachers teach them how to cook, sew and design clothes. Our school library is nice and clean. Two librarians help pupils to find books they need. There are many bookcases and bookshelves with a lot of books there.
If you enter the school and turn right you see a big light dining-room.
It is always busy and noisy, but it is clean. Here pupils and their teachers have their lunch. There are blue curtains on the windows and beautiful pictures on the walls.
There is a gymnasium on the ground floor as well. Our physical training lessons are held there. Pupils like to go there even after the lessons, because it has a lot of sport equipment.
Our school has many classrooms. The classrooms are light and spacious. There are three large windows in each classroom with flower pots on the window sills. Each room has teacher’s table, pupils desks, blackboard, tables and charts on the wall, maps and portraits.
There are special classrooms for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, English, and Russian.
On the third floor there is a big nice assemble hall. A lot of meetings, concerts, festivals are held there.
Our classroom is on the second floor. Its windows face the school-yard. Our form-misteress is a teacher of Russian language and literature. We respect her very much, she is a kind and knowledgeable teacher. She teaches us Rus6ian and is so fond of her subject, that each of us cannot help liking too. When I think about my school I don’t remember its walls and desks; it is my teachers and school-mates who will be always with me. I am so thankful to our teachers for what they have done for us.

My School-Day On Monday I usually wake up late and have no time to eat my breakfast. I can’t find my books and my school cap. At last I find my books in the bathroom and find my cap - my dog. Pal. likes to play with it. I have to wait ages for a bus and I am nearly late for school. I enter the classroom when our class-teacher begins to call out the register. First Day At School
Some years have already passed but I still remember my first day at school. How happy and proud I was when my parents told me that I’m going to school, I felt like I was a grown-up person then. I wasn’t nervous, but excited. My first day at school was quite interesting for me, it was full of discoveries.
I woke up early in the morning, my mother put a nice suit on me, gave me a lunch box with sandwiches and we went to school with my whole family: me, my mother, father and my younger sister. While we were approaching the big building with a lot of people around I felt a little nervous – I didn’t know anyone there. Everyone was looking so nice: boys were wearing suits and girls were all in dresses and skirts. Every pupil had a bunch of flowers to give it to their first teacher.
After some minutes we entered the school and walked along the corridor, and then we entered the classroom with about 25 people inside. I took a seat at the desk and my parents and the parents of other pupils were standing along the wall looking at us with pride and taking pictures. Then I heard a loud noise – our first bell. A tall woman with fair hair was standing in front of us, she asked us to stand up and then when everyone was quite she let us sit on the chairs. She was smiling and looked quite kind. She told us about herself and our plans for the year. Then we walked around the school and she showed us the classrooms, canteen, laboratory and playground outside.
I have very good memories about my first day at school and I think I will remember it forever.
