Волонтерство несколько часов в неделю в какой-то общественной деятельности является важным способом инвестирования в будущее нашего общества. Я решил провести свое время работе с начальной школы, помогая им научиться читать. Разработка хорошие навыки чтения помогут эти студенты не отставать от своих одноклассников, открыть новые миры для них, и помочь им добиться успеха в жизни. Студенты, которые не являются хорошими читатели не могут идти в ногу с учебой. Они не поймут уроки, они будут приходить в школу неподготовленными, они не смогут выполнить. Научившись читать, студенты будут на равных со своими одноклассниками. Они будут принимать активное участие в классе. Книги по разным образом жизни, занятий, культур, или правительств откроет новые двери для студентов. Студенты, которые не умеют читать будет знать только то, что они видят вокруг себя. Студенты, которые могут читать смогут поехать в новые миры и испытывать новые идеи, не покидая своих кабинетов. Сегодня человек, который не умеет читать это серьезными физическими недостатками. Не- читатель должен будет работать на самых низкооплачиваемых рабочих мест. Читатели, особенно хорошие читатели, есть всю вселенную, открытую для них. Они будут иметь возможность узнать любую работу, которая их интересует. Добровольно помогать начальная школа ребенку научиться читать, я помогаю ему или ей не только сегодня, но и для остальной части его или ее жизни. Я помогаю им идти в ногу со своими сверстниками и исследовать мир и самих себя с помощью книг. By learning to read, students will be on equal footing with their classmates. They will be active participants in class. Books on different lifestyles, occupations, cultures, or governments will open new doors to students. Students who cannot read will only know what they see around them. Students who can read will be able to travel to new worlds and experience new ideas without ever leaving their classrooms. Today, a person who cannot read is severely handicapped. A non-reader will have to work at the most menial jobs. Readers, especially good readers, have the whole universe open to them. They will have the possibility to learn any job that interests them. By volunteering to help an elementary school child learn to read, I am helping him or her not only today, but also for the rest of his or her life. I am helping them keep pace with their peers and explore the world and themselves through books.

The Helping Hand
The word help is a verb that anticipates action. It means to make things easier for someone by offering aid. To help is to save, rescue, be useful in some way, or provide what is necessary to satisfy a need. There are different ways I can help someone. I can give a homeless person something to eat, say a kind word, or render a soft touch. The rewards of helping someone are not always visible. When I give a homeless person a few dollars or some food, I walk away not witnessing the feeling that person may have encountered. An inspiring word can’t be seen traveling to the heart to release a smile or lifting the spirit of a person so they can feel more confident about who they are. I often sit and wonder how prominent the world would be if we would stop belittling each other and just try to help. Although I know it is impossible to help everyone I come in contact with, it’s not absurd to think one can avoid saying bashing and degrading things that may crush someone’s spirit. As far back as I can remember, I had the desire to help people. I’ve always wanted to lend a helping hand.
As a little girl, before I even knew what it really was, I found myself helping people. My mom, as I became older, told me stories about my acts of kindness. She divulged a time where I offered, what look like a less fortunate person, my tasteful snacks that I was enjoying. She told me as I reached my adolescent years, I would cry if I saw someone sitting on the side of the road with a sign or sleeping on the harden concrete as if it were a bed. Thoughts streamed inside of my sympathetic head as I imagined all they want is a helping hand.
My dream of helping didn’t vanish. As I grew older, it grew right along with me. In my teen years I would always try to play “Ms. Fix It.” I wanted everyone to get along and be at peace with each other. I would try to stroke the ego of my wounded peer as she hid shamefully from the harsh words and judging stares people provided.

By the end of summer, I decided to adopt one of the pets. I chose a cute little puppy, which immediately became part of our family. If you have have free time over the summer, I recommend you to spend it on volunteering, since you will learn a lot of new things about the world.

Я считаю волонтерство в первую очередь-это бескорыстная помощь людям, которые в этом нуждаются и добровольное участие на благо других. Любой, кто сознательно и бескорыстно трудится на благо других, может смело называться волонтером. На данный момент я нигде не участвую, но я об этом задумываюсь (ну или как ты захочешь). Ну как-то так.
