When I was a little girl, my birthday was the happiest day for me. My parents always bought me wonderful presents. For example, when I turned five, my Mom gave me a beautiful doll with gorgeous gold hair and a doll’s house. I still remember my wild delight and excitement, which I felt when I saw a nice pink box with a big red bow near my bed. Besides, on that day I was allowed to invite all my friends. My parents bought a big chocolate cake with candles for me. I made a wish, and then I had to blow up all the candles at once.

My birthday is one of my favorite holidays. It is a wonderful chance to spend the time with your family and friends, with the people who really love you and remember you. On this day you are in the centre of their attention and you hear lots of warm and hearty words and pleasant compliments. When you check your mail you find many greetings from your classmates and relatives. Your telephone keeps ringing all day long and you are very happy to answer the phone.
I was born in summer, on the 9th of July. But I often celebrate my birthday on the nearest Saturday. I wake up quite early on that day because I’m pretty excited. Normally the weather is always sunny and hot. That is why I prefer going for a picnic with my guests somewhere to the river. But if it’s rainy we have a big party at home. My parents always ask me about my wishes beforehand and I get presents that I really need. I find them under my bed in the morning when I wake up. Ведь у каждого они свои собственные. В нашей семье, а она у нас : мой дед, папа, мама и я,  есть свои традиции.

Мы обязательно поздравляем друг друга со всеми праздниками: с Новым годом, Международным женским Днём, Днём Защитника Отечества, Днём знаний и, конечно же, с Днём Рождения.

Среди традиций моей семьи, есть такие, как запекание курицы на Новый Год. Мама всегда говорит, что эту традицию взяла у своей мамы, моей бабушки Любы. Праздники все отмечают по-разному, но в нашей семье каждый год всё выглядит примерно одинаково. Мы все вместе  отмечаем Новый год за столом, смотрим телевизор, ходим на елку.   А после боя курантов Дед Мороз всегда мне кладет подарки  под ёлку. Это так здорово и волшебно!

В День Победы мы семьёй смотрим парад на Красной площади по телевизору, а затем едем на дачу отмечать день рождение моего папы — он родился 9 мая,  и  открываем дачный сезон приготовлением шашлыка.   Обязательно поздравляем папу и дарим ему подарки. И этот день  памятен для нас, как и для всех людей, еще тем, что мой дед Илья, папин отец,  воевал  на  фронте. Он вернулся с войны, но до наших дней не дожил. А второй мой дед Николай тоже нам рассказывает про войну, что помнит, хоть он и был совсем маленький.

Каждая традиция хороша даже тем, что она собирает всю семью вместе, а когда все вместе и жить легче, веселее. Так здорово, когда рядом родные люди. В такие моменты забываешь все неприятности, и на душе становится тепло-тепло, как будто солнышко согревает своими лучами. И ничего другое уже не важно, да и не нужно. Мне нравится то, что мы не только соблюдаем эти семейные традиции, но и получаем от этого удовольствие.
