ame is Nikita. I live in Kirov and go to school No 8. Our school is 27 years old. It is big and has got three floors, many classrooms, two gyms, a library, a canteen, a swimming pool and a big hall.
I think our English classroom is the most comfortable. There are pictures of London sights on the wall. There are green flowers on the bookcases. There are curtains on the windows; there is a computer on the teacher’s table. The classroom is light and always clean.
Our English teacher, Elena Anatolievna, works in this room. All students love her because she is a very good teacher. She is merry, creative, kind, understanding, and careful but sometimes she is strict when students are naughty. She knows English well and her lessons are always interesting.
You see, we do many things at our lessons: learn words and grammar rules, learn English poems by heart, translate from Russian into English, read texts, answer the questions, answer our teacher’s questions, write exercises in our copy-books and on the blackboard, make up dialogues, tell the stories, listen to English songs and sing them, do crossword puzzles and make up our own crosswords, describe pictures, watch films and cartoons in English, play games, draw pictures, make projects.
As for me, I am fond of our English student’s book. It is “Enjoy English”. It is interesting because it has many pictures, texts and different exercises.
I enjoy making dialogues and watching films very much. I have already learnt many words. I want to know English better because I want to speak English well.
I always take part in English contests. And I am the winner of the school Olympiad. You know, I am a good student. I have only excellent and good marks in all subjects. But my favorite subject is English. I get only fives.

Primary and secondary schools together comprise eleven years of study. Every school has a "core curriculum" of Russian, mathematics, sciences, PT. A variety of subjects are taught at lyceums and gymnasiums.
After finishing secondary school, lyceum or gymnasium one can go on to higher education. All applicants must take competitive examinations. Entrance examinations are held in July and August.
In England and Wales compulsory school begins at the age of five, but before that age children can go to a nursery school, also called play school. School is compulsory till the children are 16 years old.
In Primary School and First School children learn to read and write and the basis of arithmetic. In the higher classes of Primary School (or in Middle School) children learn geography, history, religion and, in some schools, a foreign language. Then children go to the Secondary School.
When students are 16 years old they may take an exam in various subjects in order to have a qualification. These qualifications can be either G. C. S. E. (General Certificate of Secondary Education) or "O level" (Ordinary level). After that students can either leave school and start working or continue their studies in the same school as before. If they continue, when they are 18, they have to take further examinations which are necessary for getting into university or college.
Some parents choose private schools for their children. They are very expensive but considered to provide a better education and good job opportunities.
In England there are 47 universities, including the Open University which teaches via TV and radio, about 400 colleges and institutes of higher education. The oldest universities in England are Oxford and Cambridge. Generally, universities award two kinds of degrees: the Bachelor’s degree and the Master’s degree.
For many school are one big test in life. And even if rated all right, there are relationships with classmates and teachers. And not everyone can find a common language with one or the other. Many conflicts may occur, or even open mockery. You can not resist it and be silent, because this attitude deprives self-confidence, self-esteem influences. And, of course, such a situation life miserable. Therefore it is impossible to be silent. After all offenders on them and expect. Under no circumstances can not give up and think that it is you that something is wrong. Some teens begin to mock classmates even for appearance. Remember that no one is not ideal and each has its drawbacks. Do not be ashamed of themselves. Remember - a decent man who takes a man as he is. And, no matter what color his skin or hair, the way he dresses, he or full skinny. Sometimes it is very difficult to talk about their teenage problems, especially if there are no witnesses. You still need to tell everything at once. Unfortunately, even knowing what is going on, not all teachers can help. Only one way out - along with his parents to the school principal. And if that does not help, then do not hesitate to transfer to another school. There are other situations. For example, due to a strong shyness you have no friends and you alone at school. Of course, sociable lot easier, but try to overcome shyness and speak. You can just say hello with a smile and ask how to do. In any case, it all depends on you. Perhaps you feel the black sheep, and because of that can not fit into the team class or school. Do not worry. More Chat, and will have friends who will take you for who you are. With your flaws and virtues. Do not need to pretend and play - not please every one, and only more you miserable. If you want to be respected, then be yourself. Or at least try to be.
