New Year is one of the most fun rooms prazdnikov. My decorate the Christmas tree, invite relatives and prepare delicious veschi. Potom we dress in beautiful naryady. Kogda all gathered, we sit down kurantov. After midnight we go for a walk.

The New Year is an ancient  russian holiday. On this day all people note the offensive of the year, as a new vital histiry. In the New Year all people prepare for it, dressing the Cristmas tree differents toys and decoration, and of course big red or yellow star. People cook different dishes (for example: salads, hot dishes, snaks, dessets and more)  for the holiday, and then lay the table for the whole family!  So the New Year is big holiday that meets with your family and friends. All put on their best outfits and get ready for one of the most exciting days of the year!

This New year I celebrated in a big family. Were mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, sister (or brother), my friends and myself. We had a big beautiful tree. How I Saw the New Year in

New Year is my favorite holiday. We celebrate it on the 31st of December.

This year I celebrated New Year with my family. On New Year Eve we bought a New Year tree and decorated it with coloured balls and bright lights. We bought presents for our friends and relatives. My mother and I cooked a holiday supper. We made tasty salads, chicken, potatoes and mushrooms. We made a holiday cake, too. We bought a lot of fruit and sweets. We decorated our house with flakes and toys and put beautiful candles on the fireplace. We put a nice tablecloth, place and cups on the table.

Our guests came to visit us in the evening. They gave me wonderful presents. My aunt gave me a teddy bear as a present. My uncle’s present for me was a beautiful doll.

Then Father Frost came to our place. He was so funny! He had a big bag of presents. I told him a poem about winter, and he gave me a computer game as a present.

At last New Year came! We congratulated our dearest and nearest and wished them a Happy New Year! We enjoyed food and drinks. We danced, sang songs and played. I played the guitar. We had a good time together.

New Year was a merry and a happy holiday. I liked it very much.

This time in the holidays we didn’t go anywhere. This time my winter holidays began on the 30th of December. This year it was so nice to have a little rest from studies. In black-letter day and when the weather is very bad I stayed at flat and watched TV. During New Year’s holidays there is always something interesting on. Sometimes my best friends came to me and we played computer games or listened to our favorite music together. But the holiday’s time passed so far. Certainly during winter holidays I have been reading interesting books and visiting useful webpages in Internet. I liked my last New Year’s holidays so much! I think I will not forget them forever.
