Why do I like winter?
It’s snowing! It’snowing outside! I’m sitting near the window and I’m very glad because winter has come.
I like winter very much. I like white snow and white trees and white houses. There is much snow in the wood and I can ski with my sister. We like to play snowballs. It’s great fun. My friends and I make big snowmen every winter. We toboggan and sometimes play hockey with our boys.
In winter there are a lot of holidays: my birthday and my mother’s birthday, New Year’s Day and Christmas, Father’s day in February. And so many presents! And so many merry games! And we have winter holidays too! And my grandma always cook a very tasty Christmas cake.
My mum and dad, my grandma and my sister and I are very happy. I think winter is the best season.

Зимой бывает много праздников: мой день рождения и мамин день рождения, Новый год и Рождество, Папин День в феврале. И так много подарков! И так много веселых игр! А еще у нас зимние каникулы. И моя бабушка всегда готовит очень вкусный рождественский торт.
Мама и папа, бабушка и сестра и я очень счастливы. Я считаю, что зима - лучшее время года.

Hi Dave. Im glad to hear from you, thank you for your letter. I havent heard form you for years! Well, i have my own point of view in answering your questions.
Definetely, i try to help our planet, but my archievements are not rich. I just throw my liquid in scrapyards, and i think this is it. Personally, i dont grow trees, but my friend Jimmy does. I like animals, so i help them as i can and of course feed them in winter.

My friends usually play basketball and football, because we can play them on our PE lessons. Also, on PE lessons in my school we run, jump and play pionerball.
In winter, people in my country often make snomen, play snowballs, ski and skate, because winter in Russia is really cold. What do you usually do in summer? What sports does your family prefer? What do you do on PE lessons?

 Of course I have seen all the photos you took, they are wonderful! I also love taking pictures, it’s one of my hobbies. I always thought that taking pictures is the best way to keep your memories.
Last holidays I spent in a countryside near my hometown. It’s a very beautiful place, it’s surrounded by beautiful meadows and woods. Also there is fantastic sky with million stars that I enjoy looking at during night. I was going to swim in a nearby river every day, it’s one of my all time favorite activities! Swimming makes me feel very happy.
I guess I’d say that I like summer holidays more. Winter holidays are also nice because of Christmas and snow, but there are much more interesting things I can do during summer.

 As for me, I prefer summer holidays than winter holidays. This is because summer holidays are longer than winter holidays. Moreover, summer is the best season. The weather is sunny and hot. It let me swim in the sea, spend more time with my friends, walking in park. Furthermore, I hadn’t to wear a lot of clothes, so I feel good.

First of all, snowboarding is an extreme sport, so you have to be careful. Besides, keep all the necessary equipment with you in order to not get hurt. What is more, I would join a gym if I were you.
By the way, recently I’ve visited a skating rink. I had never been on a skating rink before. I am used to roller-skating in summer, but skating is yet difficult for me and I’ve got much to learn until I can say that I am good at skating.
