thanks for you invitation. I’m very glad to receive it. I’d be very happy to celebrate New Year’s Eve with you, but I can’t. I have already promised to celebrate New Year’s Eve with my parents and my granny. we are flying to New York to my father’s sister on the 2nd of January. my parents have already booked the tickets. we are planning to come back on the 6th of January. then we will be able to meet and hand out.
Please, don’t take offence at me.

Hello, Anton. It’s been half a year since you moved to another city. Since you left a lot in the class has changed. Since the first of September three new students have come to our class. Two girls and one boy. One girl is engaged in ballet, the other goes to music school. But the main acquisition of our class is Sergey, he plays football very well. So now our team has become stronger. Next time, when you arrive, we will definitely play together.
And more recently our class sick, even in the hospital lay. We visited her all class. After 2 weeks, she was cured and allowed to go to work.
In early September, the school was "Charging with a star." It was led by the Olympic champion. And a basketball court on the street was repaired, painted shields and rings.

  Russia is washed by twelve seas and three oceans. The capital of Russia is Moscow, with the population of about 10 million people. Saint Petersburg has once been a capital of the country. The Russian Federation is rich in natural and mineral resources. Russian Federation is a multinational country. They are Russians, Ukrainians, Chukchas, Tatars and many others.  Russia is the country of new possibilties!
  It is highly industrialized country with great number of plants and factories. There  are a lot of ancient and modern buildings, monumens, colourful landscapes, museums and galleries, parks and streets. Millions of people from all over the world visit this country every year.
   It is difficult to describe people. They are so different, but most of them are patriotic, hospitable, like to have fun. They have their own values, but appreciate and keep up traditions and customs of their country.

I have read your letter today. I am glad that you are fine! I am very happy that you successfully passed your Chinese exam. My congratulations! I know you had been studying hard to pass it.

Now, let me tell you my news.

As usual, I study deeply English and maths. My mathematics teacher moved to Germany for a year. That is why I have another teacher at the moment. But I like him as well.

I am doing well at English. I have been watching films in English every day for two months already. At the moment I am watching films with subtitles, but hopefully, soon I will be able to understand everything without them. I think, this is a very good way to enlarge one’s vocabulary.

I have recently been playing volleyball in the park. You know, I like this kind of sports. I have met a really nice girl there. Her name is Lena. Next time I am going to invite her to the cinema. It looks like I go to the park to see her rather than play volleyball )))

My brother has started to work in an interior design studio. He enjoys it a lot more than his previous job. My parents are planning to buy a new flat. This one is too small now.

Valera, Andrey and I often think about you. It is a pity that you had to go. It was so much fun when you were here. It is Andrey’s birthday soon. It is sad that we will have to celebrate it without you. I hope you will be able to come and visit us when it is my birthday.

Yesterday we met Sveta and Natasha. They gave their regards to you. They asked if you liked your new place. We told them that you did. By the way, Natasha dyed her hair black. She is a brunette now! It suits her, though.

There are a lot of road signs in Russia because its very big.
70% of all families in Russia have 1 or more cars and all of them are driving on the roads of Russia. Government should do driving safe and do it with road signs.

Привет Саша! Решил написать тебе письмо, и от всей души поблагодарить тебя за то, что ты подарил мне несколько по-настоящему счастливых дней. Когда я получил твое приглашение поехать с тобой в Новый Афон, я не представлял, насколько буду удивлен и восхищен тем, что предстанет перед моим взглядом. Я был во многих краях, где удивительная природа, видел достопримечательности разных городов, знакомился со многими замечательными людьми. Однако то, что я увидел на Кавказе, произвело на меня неизгладимое впечатление.
Было ощущение полной свободы, отрешения ото всего и от всех. Красота величественных гор, тонкий аромат, исходивший от трав, цветов, деревьев, моря, будоражили сознание, заставляли сильнее биться сердце. В то время вспоминались строчки стихов А. С. Пушкина, М. Ю. Лермонтова, в которых прославлялась красота этих мест. Представлялись мужественные сильные люди, населяющие этот край. Удивило какое-то особенное радушие и гостеприимство жителей. Казалось, что тебя здесь ждали, что ты – самый дорогой гость, даже не гость, а свой, близкий человек. Проходя мимо дома, в котором мы жили, старики приветливо здоровались, сняв головной убор или просто наклонив голову. Хорошее настроение не покидало меня все время. Стояла прекрасная погода, несмотря на то, что уже был октябрь. Легкий ветерок с моря освежал лицо, ласкало солнышко, не такое, жаркое, как летом, но еще способное согреть душу и тело, а из моря не хотелось выходить. Волны, словно нехотя набегая на теплый песок, ласкали его и вновь уходили в морскую пучину. Это было время бархатного сезона, отдыхающие старались насладиться последними теплыми деньками. Глядя на всю красоту, я часто вспоминал слова писателя Л. Н. Толстого о том, что живя здесь, на Кавказе, в такой красоте, нельзя вести разрушительные войны, мир и спокойствие должны стать постоянными спутниками жизни горцев.
Уезжая из этих мест, мы желали нашим новым друзьям и знакомым мира и благоденствия, сохранения всего того, что веками складывалось среди этих людей, исполнения всех желаний, обещали не забывать дней, проведенных в этом красивейшем уголке земли.
Еще раз благодарю тебя, Саша, за доставленную мне радость знакомства с Абхазией и ее жителями и обещаю в свой черед показать красоты тех мест, которые я посещал ранее.

Hello, dear friend! How are you doing? How’s the studying going? I’m good, last weekend my parents and I were at the water Park. 
 You know that in our small town your Park is not. We went to a nearby town to visit relatives, and I visited for the first time in the water Park. I liked it very much. At the water Park a lot of different pools, attractions. For children there are separate pools. There are many toys and different slides. I also went down several times on such hill together with water. I loved it! At first it was scary, but then parents couldn’t pull me out of the water – so I liked it! In the Park I met two guys, they appeared from our city, we exchanged phone numbers and we go for a walk in the Park.

Мы ездили в соседний город к родственникам в гости, и я впервые побывал в аквапарке. Мне там очень понравилось. В аквапарке много разных бассейнов, аттракционов. Для детей отдельные бассейны есть. Там много игрушек и разных горок. Я тоже спускался несколько раз по такой горке вместе с водой. Мне очень понравилось! Сначала было страшно, но потом родители не могли вытащить меня из воды – так мне там нравилось! В аквапарке я познакомился с двумя ребятами, они оказались из нашего города, мы обменялись телефонами и на днях идем гулять в парк

Dear Santa Claus,
Let me introduce myself. I am Kate. I am 11. My family is small. We are three: my mother, my father and me. I live in Moscow and study in the 5th form. We have 2 pets, a cat and a dog. I help my parents to take care of them. Our family is very friendly.
New Year is coming and I’ve decided to write a letter to you. How are you? How did you spent last holidays? I hope, everything is ok with you. As for me, at school I was getting good and excellent marks the whole year. Best of all I like English, Nature Studies and Literature. It is so interesting to learn new things about our planet. Besides, I help my mother about the house, do some shopping and walk with our dog. So, as you see, I am quite a good child.
I’d like to ask you to present me with a new creativity-set, containing multicoloured beads, some wool for felting and shreds for patchwork. I will be very glad to get an mp3-player or some other interesting gadget. I’m looking forward to the holiday night. It is the time of miracles and fairy-tales. Dear friend, best wishes, I am writing to you. I received your letter, for which I thank you very much.
I still spend a vacation in the countryside, visiting the grandparents. I like it very much, so stay here until the end of the summer. I have made many friends here. We are with them while having fun: play soccer, go swimming in the river, in the woods to pick berries. Guys - good, catchy.
I help my grandmother. She has a small farm: chickens, rabbits and goats.
With a couple of times a grandfather go fishing. I get up very early, when still only just beginning to lighten when the grass is still lying under the weight of morning dew. It caught perch, crucian carp, roach. Father I have experienced fisherman, so we never returned without a catch.
From the first fishing we always meet the cat Vaska. Oh, he was a lover of fish to eat! But my friend, dog, fish does not eat, and accompanies us on a fishing trip. It is with us until the end. Well, the third straight angler!
The weather is a real summer. Many sunny days, in the gardens of brewing a good harvest. And what nature here! You leave in the morning on the porch of the house, and you are met by a green sea of ​​trees, bushes, various paint colors, the singing of birds. Here - it’s not you in the city. Then a day rich in new discoveries, new studies.
I also went to the village library - read many works that we asked for extracurricular reading. But honestly, read boring when everyone around you is full of life. I read just before bedtime, and even then not every day. Sometimes for a day so tired that my eyes just do stick together.
