You can talk to her and say that there’s nothing wrong with buying things from charity shops. She should feel free to use this option as long as her family is in need. Once they find better jobs and make some more money on their own, they are going to stand on their own two feet and be independent. You can tell her that buying things from charity or as they’re also called "thrift shops" help charity organisations raise money to help homeless people and children with health problems. I’d call it "killing two birds with one stone".

Volunteering a few hours each week to some community activity is an important way of investing in the future of our society. I chose to spend my time working with elementary school children helping them to learn to read. Developing good reading skills will help these students keep up with their classmates, open new worlds to them, and help them succeed in life. Students who are not good readers cannot keep up with their studies. They will not understand the lessons; they will come to school unprepared; they will not be able to perform. By learning to read, students will be on equal footing with their classmates. They will be active participants in class. Books on different lifestyles, occupations, cultures, or governments will open new doors to students. Students who cannot read will only know what they see around them. Students who can read will be able to travel to new worlds and experience new ideas without ever leaving their classrooms. Today, a person who cannot read is severely handicapped. A non-reader will have to work at the most menial jobs. Readers, especially good readers, have the whole universe open to them. They will have the possibility to learn any job that interests them. By volunteering to help an elementary school child learn to read, I am helping him or her not only today, but also for the rest of his or her life. I am helping them keep pace with their peers and explore the world and themselves through books.

Thank you for your letter, I was so happy to recieve it
First of all, about charity, about my position of it. I love helping homeless kids, maybe not only kids. I like to give them my old items, to buy new for them. And hope you too.
Futhermore I tought about joining some charity organizations, maybe you even take my position. It would be more useful if we did it together.
Your last question was about my helping at home. I think you mind housework. I help my mom to keep home clear. I don’t even do it for her, I do it for myself.

I haven’t got enough moneyto buy new clothes and my family gets all clothes in second hand and charity shops. My classmates laugh at me and I fell embarrassed. I adore shoes, very long and pointed but not with those high, straight heels because I think they look all wrong and out of proportion from the back. Sometimes I wander round just looking at shoe shops - especially Dolcis or that heavenly place in Bond Street, Fanchon - and then I see some I like and can’t bear not to see what they look like on me, so I go in and try them on. I just need some advice on how to be more frugal and make my money last, I spend around 45-50 a week when I go shopping but feel this is too much! any advice?

This is so unfortunate. please dont give up! Besides i think you can find a half day job. i can suggest you the job like babysitter. Anyway try not to notice  laughter behind you. only stupid people can do this. Besides  you have to be happy that you are healthy young girl you  have a house and a family,  A lot of people in the world suffer without   it would seem simple things. All will be fine -I assure you
